The Hendricks County Sheriff's Office said Thursday a shooting involving an Indianapolis man in June has been deemed self-defense. On June 2, 2024 at approximately 1:44 p.m., deputies responded to the call of a person shot at the Camby Walmart Supercenter. There they found Matthew Steele, 34, who had a gunshot wound in his torso, near a vehicle in the parking lot.Steele, who was from Indianapolis, was transported to IU Health Methodist in critical condition where he later died. |

New Hampshire-based SIG Sauer now has a version of the MCX Spear that ships with Cerakote Gen II near-infrared coating.
The new MCX-Spear LT IR, initially available in 5.56 NATO, carries a 16-inch 1:7 twist barrel and is coated in Gen II NiR Cerakote. Cerakote developed Gen II NiR six years ago and it was originally only available to military and law enforcement customers. |
