Anti-freedom politicians want to price you out of your rights. Rep. Don Beyer (D-Va.), along with more than two dozen co-sponsors, recently introduced legislation that, if passed, would impose a 1,000% excise tax on the purchase of “assault weapons” and “high-capacity” magazines. |

From the late 1950s to the early 2000s, two of the most popular rimfire cartridges on the planet were the 22 Long Rifle and the 22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire, otherwise known as the 22 WMR or 22 Mag. Generations of shooters (myself included) were taught how to shoot using a 22 LR bolt-action rifle before hunting varmints like coyotes and groundhogs with a 22 WMR.

The 9mm vs 40 Smith & Wesson (40 S&W) debate has been raging since the introduction of the 40 S&W in early 1990. Typically, the debate centers on which of the two pistol cartridges are superior for concealed carry.
The law enforcement community has flip-flopped on this issue over recent years as the FBI is retiring their 40 S&W Glock 22 sidearms and returning to the 9mm Luger as their standard issue ammo for their field agents. |

As we age, our bodies change, obviously. Most human beings will experience changes to their vision throughout a lifetime. Near-sightedness is much more common now than in generations past due to our lifestyle of always looking at screens in front of our face. Most people also hit a change in vision once middle-aged as the eye losses its ability to focus on closer objects, even if the distance vision remains clear. So, the bad news, most experience changes in vision over time.

We all enjoy getting a little lead therapy — plinking, precision target shooting, bowling pin matches, cowboy action shooting, black powder cartridge competitions, fur-trade rendezvous, etc. We give little thought to the danger involved, but we should think about our safety every time. We trust the used gun we bought to work correctly and the ammunition to be safe. In many cases, trust is misplaced. Statistically, 50% of gunsmiths are the worst in their craft. Think about it for a moment.

James Martin Triggs (his friends called him Jim) was an illustrator and artist, but those terms barely capture the level of talent he brought to his work. Throughout his career, his accurate and skillful drawings of mechanical goods elevated multiple industries, though he is probably most remembered for his contributions to the firearm industry, and, in particular, for his drawings of Ruger firearms. In an age when most everything is done on a computer screen or with the help of graphic software, Triggs’ work provides a glimpse into a lost age of commercial artistry that still draws the eye and enthralls the mind. |

When Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party was elected in 2015, its official election platform promised “real change” for Canadians. The Liberal public safety “plan will keep Canadians safe and protect their rights, without resorting to the politics of fear or letting ideology trump evidence in decision-making.” On guns specifically, the Liberal Party asserted that the Conservative government, under then-Prime Minister “Stephen Harper has steadily weakened our gun laws in ways that make Canadians more vulnerable and communities more dangerous. We will take pragmatic action to make it harder for criminals to get, and use, handguns and assault weapons.”

Introduced in early 2022, the Hellion is a semi-auto export version of the Croatian military's VHS-2 platform used by armed forces in environments ranging from Iraq to Africa. Whereas the original Hellion runs a short 16-inch barrel designed to offer the most compact package possible-- translating to an overall length of just 28.25 to 29.78 inches long due to the five-position adjustable stock-- the newly released variants feature extended 18-inch and 20-inch barrels, promising enhanced velocity and downrange performance while still remaining very short due to its bullpup design.

We are always told not to judge a book by its cover. That’s a lesson for today. I know this POF P415 Edge looks like your average AR-15, but let me assure you, it is not! Every inch of it has been upgraded, and you can feel it when you shoot it. It’s one of the smoothest and best shooting AR platforms I’ve ever tried. So let’s dive right in to see how POF did this.
