You have to hand it to Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) and Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), the title of the legislation they introduced in their respective bodies has two huge lies in just five words. When you look over what the Making America Safe and Secure Act of 2021, you will find it will provide neither safety nor security.

An Olympic Silver Medalist made a stop in Fort Wayne over the weekend.

Lucas Kozeniesky, who won a silver medal in the Mixed Team Air Rifle event in Tokyo, competed in The X Count’s 2nd Annual Anschütz Open on Saturday and Sunday.

“For people who live here in Fort Wayne, The X Count is a great thing to get involved with,” said Kozeniesky. “They have a lot of entry level programs so I would encourage you to come out and try it for sure.”

Kozeniesky, a Colorado native, also finished 6th overall in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event.

The event also included prizes, medals and food trucks. It was held at 5301 Merchandise Dr.

It took Joe Biden just seven months to cripple this country’s economy, security and credibility.

On Sunday, Biden lost the moral authority he needs to govern, as well as the respect of voters, foreign leaders and the mainstream media, who have finally stopped asking about his daily dose of ice-cream and turned their attention to issues of real consequence. The Atlantic published a story Sunday titled “Biden’s betrayal of Afghans will live in infamy.” MSNBC called the rout “Biden’s disastrous Afghanistan charade,” and even a news actor at CNN admitted that the Taliban’s blitzkrieg caught the Biden-Harris administration “flat-footed.”

When the establishment media talks about “gun safety advocates,” it is typically about some gun control activist group pushing a political point, so when a real gun safety effort could be spotlighted, the press could get an eyeful.

That’s an opportunity looming in Detroit this coming weekend (Aug. 21-22) in Detroit, when veteran firearms instructor and Second Amendment activist Rick Ector, founder of Legally Armed in Detroit, hopes to greet a legion of women to a genuine firearms safety and training course.

The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on Nov. 3 in a major Second Amendment case that centers on whether the Constitution guarantees the right to carry guns outside the home, the court’s calendar said Monday. The justices had announced in April that they would consider the National Rifle Association-backed challenge to a century-old New York law, which requires some applicants to demonstrate “proper cause” to receive licenses to carry a concealed handgun in public.

A gun-rights advocacy group based in Detroit is holding its annual free firearm shooting lessons for women interested in learning about guns and personal protection.

The lessons are scheduled for Aug. 21-22 at target ranges in Taylor, southwest of Detroit. Pre-registration is required.

Legally Armed in Detroit founder Rick Ector said the group hopes to provide lessons to 4,000 women. The sessions will include a firearm instructor’s safety briefing, use of a firearm, ammunition, and range time.

No prior firearms training or experience is required, Ector said.

The free lessons have been offered for a decade. Fifty women received training the first year, and more than 1,900 women participated last year, Ector added.

The Biden Department of Justice is threatening to upend the U.S. firearm industry and how Americans exercise their Second Amendment rights. On May 21, ATF published a new proposed rule in the Federal Register entitled Definition of “Frame or Receiver” and Identification of Firearms. That publication triggered the opening of a public comment period. The comment period will remain open until August 19, 2021.

Michael Bloomberg may be one of the richest men in the world, but he is probably best known these days as the man who had one of the most embarrassing bids to be president of these United States. He spent more than a billion dollars of his personal fortune in his 2020 campaign to be the Democrat nominee, a short affair that lasted only three months. His only success after burning through huge stacks of cash was winning the tiny US territory of American Samoa.

If it can be broken, I’ve probably broken it. My AR firing pin retaining pin once busted into 18 pieces before. I broke a spring I didn’t even know my RCBS Rock Chucker press had. At this point I’m either a jinx or just have a knack for breaking things no one else has broken before.

We know that barrel length affects velocity. Longer barrels produce higher speeds. That’s true for handguns, rifles and shotguns. There are limits to this rule, and if a barrel is really long, the bullet can start to slow down before it exits. Here, let’s keep our minds on typical barrel lengths.

Known for its low-cost ammo formerly manufactured in Russia, Wolf's best-selling calibers are steel-cased 7.62x39mm and .223 Remington. Wolf is an importer of ammunition that is manufacturer agnostic, as well as brass and steel agnostic. When you see “Wolf Gold,” all that means is that these are brass cartridges.

A 20-year-old man was fatally shot by an armed woman in Dale City, Va., in the early morning hours of July 22. The armed woman was outside her home at 12:25 a.m., walking her dog, when she was approached by the man, who was wearing a face mask and armed with a handgun. In what police later cleared as a justified self-defense shooting, the woman shot the assailant, who was transported to a hospital, where he later died of his wounds.
