"Being a well-known pacifist group, people sometimes wonder if the Amish use guns for hunting."
"John at the Spokesrider has posted a few questions on this topic, which I've been meaning to get to for a while (thanks John!)."
"I remember while in the Arthur, Illinois settlement a few years ago being surprised to learn that the Amish do use guns for hunting. Since that time I've found that many Amish are avid hunters and I've had numerous conversations with them about the sport. Admittedly, I have never been hunting and would probably be ahead of the game if I made it out of the woods without a hole blown through my foot."

"Definitely a learning experience. If you haven't scolded the IIIpers to be learning it before you might admonish them to spend the time now before times really get lean if they intend to use casting to enhance their ammo supply."
"The whole process took up most of this afternoon with two hours spent actually casting (setup, prep and teardown was a large chunk)."
"Got 200 loadable bullets for my efforts."
"Not much invested either."

Unfortunately, the Nyberg flag ("Threeper") vendor's fabricator did not make the red red enough nor the navy blue blue enough.
Think faded red and faded navy blue. Serviceable, but not what we wanted. We'll get the best possible price for these versions, which we will then pass on to you.
I have also had difficulty finding a vendor for our Threeper series of ATF/FBI/DHS/Congress/Obama urinal cakes. Any help from the Threeper audience would be greatly appreciated.
Alternatively, we are looking for porcelain discs featuring these seals, so operatives can epoxy the discs to the vertical surfaces of urinals and the bowl floors of commodes in government toilets across the land...

"'Bring to me evidence that this is caused harm to the public in the states that have had this law for many years, I'll pull this bill myself.'"
"That's our challenge from Doug Jackson, chief Senate sponsor of the guns-in-bars law. We guess the senator isn't a regular reader of Pith in the Wind because we reported almost a month ago on a new study that provides all the evidence anyone needs:""Concealed handgun permit holders killed at least seven police officers and 44 private citizens in 31 shootings over roughly the past two years, according to the [VPC] ..." ... -------
Submitter's Note: And obviously Pith in the Wind doesn't read Minneapolis Gun Rights Examiner (or any of several others Gun Rights Examiners) who completely eviscerated this report within days of its release. The simple fact is that the most cursory double-checking by the VPC would have revealed that most of these "permit holders" were nothing of the kind. Almost seems like they had an agenda . . . |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
No kingdom can be secured otherwise than by arming the people. The possession of arms is the distinction between a freeman and a slave. He, who has nothing, and who himself belongs to another, must be defended by him, whose property he is, and needs no arms. But he, who thinks he is his own master, and has what he can call his own, ought to have arms to defend himself, and what he possesses; else he lives precariously, and at discretion. — James Burgh, Political Disquisitions: Or, an Enquiry into Public Errors, Defects, and Abuses [London, 1774-1775]. |
