"The Volquartsen has landed! I had the rifle shipped to a local tactical supply, and it didnʼt even make it out of the shop before the guys who work there and I tore into it like it was Christmas morning. Volquartsen sent the rifle cradled in a light but substantial black shipping case complete with chrome latches. Not that anyone dwelled on that detail for very long. Popping the case open, it was immediately obvious that the photos on their web site just don’t do it justice . . ." ... |

"I sold off another semi auto for a revolver I could use for a range gun. Got lots of .38 spl’s and .357 ammo stashed away. I have a nice Sig P226 for the range and now I am the proud owner of a Ruger 5″ GP100 .357 magnum. You will not find this listed on Ruger’s website as it is a dealer exclusive. I was floundering between a 4″, my favorite length and a 6″, which is better for a gun for range use, so this was a good compromise." ... |

"This is probably the main reason I moved out of NJ. I just saw no chance for change of the NJ may issue carry laws. To get a ccw permit you must prove a dead and self-defense is not a valid reason. Usually you must first survive an attack on your life and show it likely to happen again. You can also get one if you know the right people. There are about 3,000 or less ccw permits in NJ, if memory serves me right." ... |
