"But it could have been a possible accidental shooting," sheriff's spokesman Cal Dennie said Saturday.

If you or I "accidentally" shoot someone, we go to prison. Hello?

"Gibson, 32, a five-year veteran, was placed on paid administrative leave..."

Guy gets attacked at an intersection, in his car, shoots in self-defense, no charges filed - even against the attacker. They said, "being shot is punishment enough."

Great. A violent criminal is healing and still at large, attacks someone and gets shot - and cop says that is enough punishment. BS!! Put him AWAY so he doesn't do it again!!

The article is taken from a John Lott presentation in April. At least the good old CSM still maintains a balanced view of the world, unlike the elite media.

"A pounding on the front door roused Robert Jones from the living- room couch."

"Moments later, 27-year-old Kevin Magwood lay dead at the doorstep. Police say it appears that he was a burglar and that Jones shot him in self-defense."

The perp. was on parole - and obviously hadn't learned his lesson through the "justice" system. Now he's pushing daisies...

"It is called by many names, including sustained development, eminent domain, ecosystem management, biodiversity, or whatever term du jour collectivists are using at the moment."

By whatever name it is called, however, it is still a pagan utopian dream rooted in the worship of nature, its roots planted deep in early human history."

This isn't firearms-related, but it is a frightening depiction of Clinton's reach and the tenuous thread from which our system of law now hangs.

"The Clallam County Sheriff's Office issued a concealed-weapons permit three years ago to a man now charged with gunning down Deputy Wallace "Wally" Davis."

"The Sheriff's Office may change procedures for answering calls about people known to be...in possession of guns, he said.

Let me guess. This means everyone with a permit is a cop-killer, right?

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
Some of the worst abuses of government force in recent years were precipitated by technical and victimless gun-law violations. For example, the BATF claimed that the Branch Davidians possessed machine guns without paying the required federal tax and filling in the proper registration forms. So a tax case worth less than $10,000 led to a 76-man helicopter, machine gun, and grenade assault on a home in which 2/3 of the occupants were women and children. — Dave Kopel and Dr. Michael S.
