#7.5 lead shot is one of the most easily found shot sizes on the market and is made by a variety of manufacturers including NobelSport and Federal, for several different applications. Although it's typically sold to dove, quail and pheasant hunters for its excellent ability to take down fast-moving birds – squirrels, rabbits and other small game can easily be hunted with this shot size. With a high pellet count leading to a dense pattern, #7.5 lead shot will give you great stopping power with an optimal range of 35 to 50 yards.

Any other year, taking money from an industry that’s conducting barred activity would be called corruption. Not election years, though, and not when it comes to banks and guns. Congressional Democrats are holding a fundraiser Aug. 24 for Democratic nominee Joe Biden headlined, “Virtual Conversation on the Future of Antitrust,” according to Politico. The event will be hosted by U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and U.S. Rep. David Cicilline (D-R.I.) and is being feted as “a chance to talk about technology and antitrust with Sen. Klobuchar,” in the invitation.

When .45 ACP enters a conversation, most gun owners conjure up images of M1911s or semi-auto polymers like the Glock G21. Rarely, do people immediately think of revolvers, for good reason. Though an oddity among the wheelgun world, a handful of firearms makers are dedicated to this unusual pairing-- a concept that goes back to 1917-- bringing consumers some options when it comes to a .45/wheelgun mashup.

It’s no secret that I admire lever action carbines. They are handy, easy to carry inside a vehicle because of their flat profile, and provide more than sufficient accuracy for hunting (not to mention self-defense). There is another good reason to own a lever gun: They are — at least for now — not generally in the crosshairs of the gun control leftists. With the world in the midst of uncertain times, lever action rifles are a great choice for everyday carry in a car or quick accessibility in your home. As most of you know Henry Repeating Arms makes exceptional lever guns and have a lifetime warranty, hard to go wrong with a Henry. Not to mention they are built right here in the USA. |

Pollsters call me and ask me leading questions. I leave them guessing because I don’t want to be targeted by political advertisements from now until the election.
In contrast, there is a massive public poll that I do believe. This poll takes hours to answer and the participants actually have to pay to register their vote. The results of that poll are fascinating as millions of us chose to buy a gun for the first time. |

The Hill is reporting that gun control organizations “are looking to the Democratic National Convention to build off recent momentum sparked by New York’s lawsuit against the National Rifle Association,” but a news release from an online ammunition sales company suggests this strategy could backfire.
Ammo.com revealed Tuesday in a news release that “recent civil unrest amidst calls to ‘defund the police’ have sparked an unprecedented demand for ammunition.” The demand translates into sales, and that puts money into Ammo.com’s “Freedom Fighter Support” program. |

As he watched Joseph Stalin’s coffin removed from Red Square in 1961, Yevgeny Yevtushenko asked, “But how to remove Stalin from Stalin’s heirs.” For us, in 2020 the question becomes: “How to remove racism from the anti-racists?” According to Ibram X. Kendi, a rising scholar of the white disorder called racism, there is no such thing as being non-racist. You are either a purposeful anti-racist or a racist. No neutral ground exists. To be “color-blind” is a ruse. Since racism is the original sin of Euro-Americans, to be anti-racist is to be … well, you finish the sentence.

An important new book by historian Paul Kengor sheds considerable light on Karl Marx and by implication the madness and mob violence that has descended on the country. The throngs setting fire to police stations, looting stores and tearing down America’s cultural history are acting in the name of Black Lives Matter, a Marxist group that our ruling elites have airbrushed and turned into a totem of worship.

As hunting season approaches, firearms dealers are seeing a rise in sales of weapons and ammunition, though it’s often to the point of making it difficult to keep their shops stocked — and it’s not always about hunting. Brad Snook, owner of the Sports Corral, in Joseph, and Terry Potratz, retail manager at Wallowa County Grain Growers in Enterprise, both have noticed that when they try to order either firearms or ammunition if can be difficult.

In the seeming never-ending riots portrayed as “peaceful protests” by the Progressive left, including most of the Media, there are an increasing number of drivers/passengers involved in vehicle encounters with agitators/protestors. There are numerous responses on Internet forums about how to handle a situation where a person or persons in a vehicle encounter, often unexpectedly, agitators/protestors who are aggressively blocking a public right of way. |

When it overturned California's 10-round magazine limit last Friday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit emphasized what Americans commonly do when they exercise their constitutional right to armed self-defense. Joe Biden, by contrast, thinks the relevant question is how many shells Americans are allowed to have in their shotguns when they hunt migratory birds.

The York County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved the request for a Special Use Permit to authorize the establishment of a gun shop. The new gun shop will be in a multi-tenant retail building at 110 Dare Road. One concern raised was the close proximity of the shop to Dare Elementary School, but supervisors found the shop would be far enough away from the school and not violate the Gun-Free School Zones Act — the shop would be 1,050 feet away from the school, just outside the 1,000-foot gun-free zone marker per the Act. |

Let's be blunt; the purpose of the lawsuit brought to dissolve the N.R.A. is intended to sideline the N.R.A. for the upcoming election. New York has a long history of “Legislation through Litigation.” This in no way affects my viewpoint that it's time for the N.R.A. to clean house. The facts are simple; the N.R.A. needs an annual independent review of spending and better management. Wayne, you've done a great job, but its time. When you become the issue (rightly or wrongly), you cannot lead. |

August 2020 marks the 4th Annual National Shooting Sports Month, as designated by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. To commemorate the month, which is on the cusp of the fall hunting season, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is highlighting agency programs aimed at providing participants of all ages and skill-levels the opportunity to safely hit the range or the field. “To be strong in the skills of shooting sports, a shooter must slow down, focus, have practiced, and be able to adapt to changing conditions,” said Rob Owen, Outreach and Recruitment Manager for TPWD. |

An annual question at shooting ranges around the country is “What distance should I zero for?” And the answer is… The distance that gives you the most flexibility for putting your bullet on target quickly with minimum measuring, guessing, hoping, or missing. And that’s rarely 100 yards. |
