National Knife Day is a time to remember that while knives are tools used by millions of Americans at home, work and while recreating, sometimes they are also tools used as arms in order to protect one's person or loved ones. In some areas of the country, they are the most effective legal self-defense alternative to banned or restricted firearms. Knife Rights is the Second Front in Defense of the Second Amendment.

It’s no secret that most in the legacy media do not support the Second Amendment; at least, not a proper interpretation of what that amendment actually protects. It’s also no secret that most of those same purveyors of “news” will do everything they can to attack President Trump, and defend the Biden-Harris ticket—now the official Democrat ticket for President in 2020—any chance they can get. |

The Democratic National Convention (DNC) took place this week, and, as expected, the nomination of former vice president Joe Biden (D) as the party’s nominee to challenge president Donald Trump (R) became official. After nearly half-a-century in the federal government, and more than three decades since he first campaigned to be president, his third run to be the Democrat candidate for president finally paid off. In 1988, during his first run, he would have been one of the youngest Democrat candidates to have sought the office. Now, in 2020, he is the oldest, from either major party, to be the nominee. |

Just days after a potential landmark pro-gun ruling by a U.S. appeals court, a lawsuit challenging Hawaii's magazine law was filed last week seeking to overturn arbitrary limits in the 50th state. The lawsuit, filed in a U.S. District Court on behalf of Hawaii Firearms Coalition director Jon Abbott and two other Hawaii residents--Kevin Kacatin and Soleil Roache-- argues that the state's ban on handgun magazines with a capacity greater than 10 rounds is unconstitutional. The case names Hawaii Attorney General Clare E. Connors as the defendant. |

The six shots sounded like thunder rolling across the wheat stubble, where a flock of snow geese cackled in protect as they took flight some 80 yards distant. As an observer, when the nod came from Dad, I ran to pick up the six geese lying in the field while Dad and his hunting partner picked up the empty shotshell hulls issued from their 12-gauge Winchester Model 12 Heavy Duck pump-action shotguns
In 1892, a fellow by the name of Spencer introduced the pump shotgun to American hunters. (The first patent for a pump-action firearm was granted in Britain in 1854.) Much as today’s pump guns, it held cartridges in a tubular magazine and was operated by pulling and pushing on a slide wrapped around the magazine tube.
