The issue of “gun violence” is all the craze again with gun control activists looking to ban guns and ammunition after a string of mass shootings over the past several years.
The March for our Lives movement is still trying to stay relevant after it came together on the heels of the tragic Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida.
Andrew Pollack, who lost his daughter Meadow during the shooting, has come out swinging against the group and the “kids” pushing a partisan anti-gun agenda. |

After the recent massacres in El Paso and Dayton, President Donald Trump in part blamed “mental illness and hatred” as critical factors that drive mass shooters to inflict so much terror and bloodshed.
Trump’s analysis bothered Los Angeles Times columnist Scott Martelle.“Yes, of course the person pulls the trigger. That’s how guns work. But if there was no gun in the person’s hand, there would be no trigger to pull, a reality the president conveniently omits,” Martelle wrote. |

Background checks are already mandatory when purchasing from a licensed dealer whether you are at their store or at a gun show. Universal background checks are a myth. How many gang bangers are going to register their guns or undergo a background check? Murderers? Rapists? Zero. Yes, there is reasonable fear that the government will try to confiscate semi-automatic weapons; see the gun control plans of Democrats running for President in 2020. Mandatory buy backs with jail time for those who refuse. |

On Aug. 12, we witnessed a rare exception.
That’s when a friend of the court brief, known as an “amicus” brief, was filed in the Supreme Court by five Democratic senators, including one presidential candidate. The senators were Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island, Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, Richard Durbin of Illinois, and Kirsten Gillibrand of New York.
The brief provoked considerable controversy and even led to the filing of a legal complaint against Whitehouse, who was its principal author. |

During Wednesday’s hearing, Gun Owners Action League Executive Director Jim Wallace said he wanted to push back on the idea that Massachusetts gun laws have been successful, saying the number of gun-related homicides in the state has risen over time.
“There is no success with these gun laws, period,” Wallace said. “As a matter of fact, the only thing these gun laws have done is to make the people I represent suffer, who try to get through these laws without being in violation, and, frankly, the inner-city people that are being murdered in record numbers. We need to actually re-address all these laws with the knowledge that they have not been successful.” |

Federal caters to the self-defense market with a new line of defense ammunition, Syntech Defense, tailored to handgun shooters.
Available in 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP, Syntech Defense offers a hollow-point bullet that splits into three segments and “a deep-penetrating core on impact.”
“The core penetrates 12 to 18 inches through bare ballistics gel and heavy clothing—a critical benchmark in self-defense situations and the best terminal performance of any round in its class,” Federal said in a news release. “The segments create three secondary wound channels, each more than 6 inches deep, adding to the terminal effect.” |

Weaponry of all sorts have been around since the first use of a jawbone to inflict terminal damage. What could non-gun preppers use? The list is endless. Start with knives, clubs, baseball bats, golf clubs, swords, walking sticks, fireplace tools, an assortment of garden tools like a hoe, rakes, trimmers, shovels, hammers, axes, hatchets, heavy pipe wrenches, sledge hammers, scythes, and so much more.
Any or all of these common hand tools could be used for self-defense. That is, if — and this is a big if — the person wielding such a tool has an inkling of what they are doing. At best, such tools come with a distinct disadvantage to an approaching threat. |

The mainstream media (MSM) have been sensationalizing mass shootings for the last three decades, reaching a crescendo in the last several months. They sensationalized gun violence as a way to put pressure on and force Congress to pass unconstitutional gun control laws that disarm the law-abiding citizen while doing nothing to stop criminals. |

In their decades long resentment fueled quest to achieve government by spite, conservatives have not only sacrificed their souls, but also their wallets. Giving one’s money, time, and effort to horrible human beings in order to achieve disgusting policies is one things. But buying horrible crap just because it has some stars and stripes which these idiots say represent America and Jesus, or diet supplements with a label stating how “alpha” it is and promises to be “rock hard” in making their dick better than liberal cucks, while being promoted and hocked by the latest right-wing dipshit, well … that’s a whole other sad story. |

There were only muzzleloaders when this amendment was written. Folks back then looked out for one another and defended what they had.
At this time homes weren’t robbed, we didn’t have gang violence, drugs were not even thought about.
In today’s world in my opinion we need the Second Amendment more than ever. This was primarily written to defend us against our own government. But today your personal rights are more likely to be infringed on than ever. |

When anti-Second Amendment extremists are trying to get people to go along with banning modern multi-purpose semi-automatic rifles, one of the things they do is to appeal to hunters. Bill Clinton was a master at using that technique to lull many into acquiescence – and Joe Biden also uses it.
It’s a smart tactical and strategic approach. According to the Department of the Interior, there were about 11.5 million hunters in 2017. Or, almost twice the membership of the NRA. This understates the untapped potential for activism and support for the Second Amendment since not all NRA members hunt. |

So many children have been killed by gun violence in the past few weeks in St. Louis. One was a 7-year-old playing in his backyard, hit by a coward’s stray bullet.
When will it sink in that guns don’t, haven’t, nor will they ever make you more of a man? Cowards tote guns; boys idolize guns. Men are able to settle conflicts with words, or, if needed, their hands.
Men are not gods. We shouldn’t have the ability to behave like them. Guns can’t protect the public if they are in the hands of the public. We must stop the madness. |

The National Rifle Association is moving its September Board of Directors meeting back to the Washington, D.C./Northern Virginia area, cancelling the originally-planned meeting that was scheduled in Anchorage, Alaska, Ammoland News has confirmed.
The board will meet Sept. 11-14 at a location still to be determined.
The location change comes as trouble is brewing on Capitol Hill, with the Democrat-controlled House Judiciary Committee slated to start meeting a couple of days prior to the return of Congress on Sept. 9. According to the Daily Caller, the Judiciary Committee, under anti-gun Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), will be hearing three new gun bill proposals Sept. 4. |
