Today the company is part of the High Precision Systems conglomerate. This is a holding company underneath the umbrella of Rostec, a state-owned company established in 2007 to consolidate companies of strategic importance in advance of an IPO. In November 2017, Rostec began looking for a buyer of its stake in the conglomerate. All told, 14 holding companies are involved, with 11 in the defense and military industries. As such, Tula is officially part of a nonprofit organization under Russian law. Other than common ownership by High Precision Systems, it is unrelated to the similarly named Tula Arms Plant.

Any society where a substantial percentage of the citizens obeyed these rules was a stable and prosperous society. No one will ace all of the commandments all of the time, but for the sake of the health of the community, an honest effort by a lot of people made things better for everyone –- inconvenient from time to time, restrictive if one gets really angry, but not at all unreasonable. If few people steal, you’re more likely to get to keep your stuff. |

Glock introduced its smallest 9 mm pistol roughly five years ago, the G43, and the single stack has proven to be a popular choice for self-defense and concealed carry. Magazine capacity is six, and with it filled the gun weighs only 20.64 ozs.—depending on load. American Rifleman reviewed one of the earliest to be released and concluded, “that the G43 rang all of the reliability and ease-of-use bells that keep us going back to the company for more.” |

I just received my Forty-First Edition of the Blue Book of Gun Values. Some reviews that I write, I feel inadequate. You want to write an honest thorough review and do right by the reader and for the person whose product you are reviewing but on this review? Wow! How do I even begin doing a fair Book Review on a book that is 2,512 pages long in a short book review? So at best, this review will be written from 30,000 ft. high!

If you say “personal defense” to most people, I expect they would immediately start thinking about guns. I like guns and have made my living for my entire adult life with guns, one way or another. But let me suggest a few things, in no particular order, that might be just as important as guns for personal defense. |

The pronghorn population in western North Dakota is nearly all the way back from a string of harsh winters in the late 2000s that decimated herds and prompted state wildlife officials to ban hunting of the animals that resemble the African antelope. QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
In the end, more than freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all — security, comfort, and freedom. When the Athenians finally wanted not to give to society but for society to give to them, when the freedom they wished for most was freedom from responsibility then Athens ceased to be free and was never free again. — EDWARD GIBBON [On ancient Athens] |
