(Reuters) -- U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft, in a speech to 1,500 law enforcement and community leaders in Philadelphia, said he hoped to make new money for firearms prosecution available through the Justice Department's "Weed and Seed" program, which aims to fight crime at the neighborhood level by weeding out criminals while providing community leaders with funds for revitalization. |

KENT -- Kent Junior High teacher Renee Rudenick carries a handgun to protect herself from her ex-husband, her defense attorney told a Kent Municipal Court jury yesterday.
"The 53-year-old Rudenick faces a charge of possessing a firearm on school grounds in a trial expected to last two days."
KABA NOTE: If a teacher is a member of "the people," being prohibited the right to keep and bear arms is a clear rights violation. We hope she pursues this on a second amendment basis. |

In "gun free/no CCW" Chicago, Police have been dropping like proverbial flies in gunbattles with violent suspects the past few weeks. Here, a detective is shot and held hostage by a bank robber wanted by the FBI. The bad guy was hit by rounds also... |

Court was called to order at 9am sharp. Judge Becker entered and a packed court room of Vana Haggerty supporters rose as one. The judge made no comment but the smile on his face made it clear he had never seen his courtroom so jammed... I mean it was SRO with patriots! You could just sense the US Flag was flying a little higher than usual at that moment.
