Tim Walz built his career feigning support for the Second Amendment and fundraising as a “pro-gun” Democrat who backstabbed gun owners nearly every chance he got. Gun Owners of America first rated Tim Walz as a “D.” Later, we downgraded him to an F after a litany of anti-gun votes. So why did he earn such poor marks from the only No Compromise gun lobby in Washington D.C.? |

Firearms are common in the U.S., but not everyone knows how to use them safely. Finding a comfortable learning environment can be particularly challenging for women. Katrina Cain, the owner of Alpha Female Tactical, addresses this need on a private range at Bullets and Bones in DeFuniak Springs.
Cain provides courses and training specifically for women to learn about gun safety and defense. “We wanted to provide a comfortable learning environment for women because it is a male-dominated industry,” said Cain. |

The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals judges voted 10-5 to affirm a lower federal court decision upholding Maryland’s assault rifle ban. That was the good news. The plaintiffs have, of course, vowed to appeal. They like their chances given the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision two years ago in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen supporting their Second Amendment rights by striking down a controversial New York concealed carry law. Meanwhile, a federal judge weakened other Maryland gun restrictions, ruling that the state can’t ban licensed gun owners from carrying firearms in bars and restaurants and in private buildings without the owner’s permission as required under a 2023 law. |

“We unfortunately fell short of the required signatures,” Edgar Antillon, co-founder of the nonprofit Guns for Everyone, told Marijuana Moment in an email. His group is the chief backer of the proposal, known as Initiative 147.
The campaign managed to gather about 90,000 total signatures, Antillon said on Wednesday, but organizers needed to submit 124,238 valid voter signatures by August 5.
The result was “great for how underfunded and understaffed we were,” he added, “but short nonetheless.” |

A woman stabbed a man on the SEPTA Market Frankford Line in self-defense Thursday afternoon in Philadelphia’s Northern Liberties area.
Around 12:25 p.m., the train was traveling west near the Spring Garden Station when SEPTA said an argument broke out between a woman and a man.
Police said the man was smoking on the train and the woman asked him to stop several times, that is when the man punched her in the face. The woman then stabbed the man in the arm and stomach, according to officials.
The man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. However, his condition is unknown.

Kamala Harris, the party-installed alternative to Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election, is now squarely in the national spotlight. She and her handlers like to pretend this gives her the opportunity to invent her political persona out of whole cloth so that she can appeal to that decisive section of the American electorate that can be swayed in one direction or another. |

Randy Kozuch, the Chairman of the NRA Political Victory Fund said they endorse candidates who “support and defend the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms” no matter the candidates’ party affiliation.
“In Congress, Representative Peltola has supported efforts to rein in overreach by the ATF, voted for legislation supporting the Second Amendment rights of veterans, and voted in favor of protecting traditional ammunition,” Kozuch said in a statement to The Hill. “Given her strong record of support for gun rights and law-abiding gun owners, NRA-PVF is proud to endorse Representative Peltola for re-election.” |

The first ten amendments to our Constitution are known as the “Bill of Rights” for a reason — within it are denoted numerous “rights” that belong to individuals and which are guaranteed as such against government limitation. Any American elected official who fails to grasp this foundational principle, or who understands it but refuses to accept it, is undeserving of holding public office. Take, for example, Kamala Harris.
Our current vice president, the Democrat Party nominee for president, is on record positing that one of those fundamental individual liberties expressly guaranteed against government intrusion, does not actually protect an individual right after all. |

According to a new report by GIFFORDS, gun deaths have risen 63 percent since Governor Greg Abbott took office.
The old adage of an armed society being a polite society has never been proven true. The simple matter is that the more people own guns, the more people die by them. There is broad scientific consensus on that, with only a handful of discredited proponents saying otherwise. |

The different polls taken following the assassination attempt prove “compassion” and “tolerance” are just words in the dictionary to the Democratic Left and Hollywood, where they refer to the area between New York City and Hollywood as “Flyover Country.”
Johnny Depp, Snoop Dogg, Kathy Griffin, George Lopez, Rosie O’Donnell and Mickey Rourke have either hinted at or outrightly advocated the death of Trump. In addition, President Joe Biden; Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J.; and Robert DeNiro have advocated physically attacking Trump.
According to the polls, one out of three Democrats wanted the assassin to succeed. Also, one out of three believe Trump faked the assassination attempt. |

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who was chosen by Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday as her running mate, has faced criticism for making false claims, including one about the rationale for banning so-called “assault weapons.”
Walz claimed to have carried such weapons “in war” during his tenure in the Army National Guard, as shown in a video released by the Kamala Harris campaign on Tuesday. However, there’s a glaring issue with his statement.
Walz served in the Army National Guard for 24 years but did not experience combat, as stated in his résumé. His primary duties involved responding to natural disasters in Minnesota and Nebraska, as he mentioned in an interview with Minnesota Public Radio. |

The media tells us VP Kamala Harris’ newly-minted running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D-MN), has a folksy demeanor.
“I spent 25 years in the Army and I hunt. I’ve been voting for common sense legislation that protects the Second Amendment, but we can do background checks. We can research the impacts of gun violence. We can make sure those weapons of war, that I carried in war, are only carried in war,” Waltz said in a recently unearthed 2018 clip.
Except he never carried AR-15s - semiautomatic rifles frequently mischaracterized as “weapons of war” - in combat. Even CNN shot down this claim from Walz. |

July marked 60 consecutive months – or five years – of more than 1 million monthly NSSF-Adjusted FBI National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) verifications for the sale of a firearm at retail. This milestone is demonstrative of Americans’ desire to lawfully exercise their Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms for lawful purposes. The last time monthly background checks associated with the sale of a firearm at retail were below 1 million was July 2019, when 830,579 background checks for firearm sales were recorded. |

Believe it or not, but Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) was once rated an “A” by the National Rifle Association (NRA) for his pro-Second Amendment stance before turning over to the dark side.
During his second term as Minnesota governor, Walz served as a U.S. congressman from 2007 to 2019. He was applauded for his commitment to protecting law-abiding Americans' rights to own guns and opposed gun-control measures pushed by his Democratic colleagues. |

Mark Smith, a constitutional attorney and gun rights advocate, has long speculated about judicial misconduct within the Fourth Circuit. His suspicions were recently confirmed through a detailed dissent in the Bianchi case, revealing how anti-gun judges played dirty to suppress a pro-Second Amendment ruling.
The dissenting opinion referenced the manipulation tactics by anti-gun judges within the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in footnote number 2 on page 87 of the Bianchi decision. Here is the relevant excerpt from the dissent that highlights the courts’ manipulation:

Barely had the sweat dried on his hand from holding Harris’s mitt so tightly after she named him her vice-presidential choice, than an old video of the guv was shared on social media with him waddling in front of a crowd and crowing about how he was going to ban AR-style weapons.
Usually when an old video clip appears of a candidate openly lying to constituents it is leaked by the opposing party. But Harris and Walz’s campaign team are actually making it easy for everyone to see the lies…and to see what these people really stand for. |

The new law requiring a 72-hour waiting period to buy a gun is now in effect. The law requires those who purchase a firearm to wait three days before they can take it home.
The bill was passed in the wake of the Lewiston mass shooting that killed 18 and left 13 injured in October.
Gov. Janet Mills allowed the bill to become law without signing it, saying she was conflicted and recognized valid arguments from both sides. |

Former President Donald Trump went after Vice President Kamala Harris on guns while burnishing his own credentials on Thursday.
During a lengthy press conference, Trump painted Harris as radical on guns. He painted himself as a protector of the Second Amendment. Those were his first remarks contrasting his position on gun control with Harris since she took over the top spot on the Democratic ticket a few weeks back.
Does that mean Trump has decided to change tact on gun politics as we barrel closer to November? |

Anti-gun groups should know better than to hop in bed with each other. They’re too fickle and their relationships almost always end in tears.
The Trace and the Gun Violence Archive may be the latest two anti-gun groups to part ways.
The Trace is the propaganda arm of former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun empire. It masquerades as a newsroom solely to provide cover for members of the corporate media who republish their stories as if they’re actual news. Trace staffers call themselves journalists, some even have journalism backgrounds, but in reality, they’re nothing more than ardent anti-gun activists paid in Bloomberg bucks. |

The State Fair of Texas will ban all firearms from fairgrounds and tighten security at fair entrances during the upcoming event, officials announced Thursday — about a year after an alleged gunman opened fire on the fairgrounds and injured three people.
The annual security update, in which fair officials were joined by the Dallas Police Department, DART police and Dallas ISD police, came earlier than usual. It’s been almost a year since one man shot at another in the food court at the Tower Building around 7:45 p.m. Oct. 14, Dallas police said. Victims had non-life-threatening injuries. |
