"KeepAndBearArms.com (KABA) has undergone a transfer of power and leadership. Launched in April of 2000, KABA has become a daily source for news and information about gun rights, gun control and gun-related activism."

"Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) and Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) have purchased the website, domain name and related assets associated with the website. SAF and CCRKBA combined have over a million members and contributors nationwide, and its leaders are confident in taking KABA to the next level of growth and development." ...

"Federal air marshals have slept on the job, tested positive for alcohol or drugs while on duty, lost their weapons and falsified information, the Homeland Security Department's inspector general said Monday in a scathing report on the air marshals program."

"The government logged 753 incidents of misconduct by air marshals during an eight-month period in 2002, according to the report. The report criticizes the undercover program as being too lenient on officers involved in misconduct. Most were placed on leave with pay after the incidents." ...
-------

The actual number of marshals is classified, but the article states that "several thousand" were hired after 9/11. So if there are 7500 air marshals, that means one in ten have had disciplinary problems.

Arm the passengers and the pilots and get rid of the air marshal program!

"Picking an elk rifle is complicated by the fact that these most majestic of deer are big (up to 1,200 pounds), tough, and taken at ranges both very short and very long. The experience of pulling the trigger on one was all summed up 30 years ago by a great elk hunter and gun writer named Bob Hagel:"

"'The shot you get will be during the last five minutes of the last day under the worst circumstances you can imagine. And you’ll take it.'"

"Accordingly, you should choose a rifle that is powerful enough to put elk down nearly every time. And it must have enough weight to counteract recoil so that you won’t flinch when you get your shot. If you don’t like the idea of lugging around a heavy, hard-kicking rifle, that’s tough. This is elk hunting." ...

"Aside from strong criticisms from gun-control advocates, there is little public outcry over the refusal of Congress to renew the federal assault-weapons ban, which expires Sept. 13, the Buffalo News reported Aug. 26."

"In 1994 when crimes involving assault weapons were at their highest, the ban was passed by Congress to curb violence. Since then, crime has substantially declined nationwide."

"'I don't think there's any question that the ban contributed to the drop in the crime rate,' said U.S. Rep. Louise M. Slaughter (D-N.Y.), who supports the ban." [KABA Note: You can think whatever you want Louise, both the CDC and DOJ say that the ban had no effect.]

A Snohomish County Superior Court judge on Monday sentenced a former Monroe Reformatory corrections officer to one month in jail for pointing an unloaded gun at two colleagues.

Jim I. Larson, 58, had pleaded guilty to one count of custodial assault July 16. The crime is a felony.

He was sitting in a patrol vehicle at the Monroe Prison Complex when he pointed his duty weapon, a 9 mm semiautomatic pistol, at the face of a woman corrections officer, according to court documents. The woman feared she was about to be shot.

A second woman officer who heard what happened told investigators Larson also pointed the gun in her direction.

The incident occurred Nov. 14. Larson, a corrections officer for 11 years, lost his job as a result.

A pack of two guns with soft rubbery bullets is currently on sale in a Gloucester store for just £1 (that's 50p a gun) and there is a real fear that these 'toy' weapons could be mistaken for the real thing - especially from a distance."

"KASHMIRI hostage takers who tried to drag a north west couple from their Land Rover told the terrified pair: 'It's not you, it's your government.'"

"But the fundraisers from Manchester fought back and caused the gun-carrying gang to panic and flee."

"Louisa Elliott and boyfriend Stephen Carless (pictured) , were ambushed by six gunmen who tried to take them hostage."

"At one point during the drama Stephen was pulled from the car and only managed to avoid being taken by clinging to the steering wheel with one hand as he was beaten with rifle butts." ...
