In the wake of the failed nomination of David Chipman, Democrats are urging President Joe Biden to put forward another individual for ATF director.
Breitbart News reported that Biden withdrew Chipman’s nomination Thursday, while subsequently blaming Republicans and promising to continue the pursuit of more gun control. The Hill responded to the downfall of Chipman’s nomination by noting that the gun control lobby spends “tens of millions” of dollars on elections and still loses.

The San Diego City Council passed an ordinance Tuesday intended to crack down on firearms without individual serial numbers — so-called "ghost guns" — and work to combat their proliferation on the streets. The Eliminate Non-Serialized Untraceable Firearm (ENUF) ordinance, which was introduced by Councilwoman Marni von Wilpert, is intended to ban ghost guns by making it illegal to sell unregistered gun kits in San Diego online or in stores. The ENUF ordinance will become law on Oct. 14. |

Ten years ago, it was rare to encounter a handgun with an optic mounted atop it, but today it is a far more common thing to see. Many semi-automatics now leave the factory with some sort of provision with which to mount a micro red-dot, and Trijicon’s RMR is one of the most prominent pistol-compatible optics on the market to be developed for use with these guns. In 2020, the company released the RMRcc, a micro red-dot similar to—but even more compact than—its older brother.

Much attention has been given recently to pistol-caliber carbines, especially AR-type rifles and pistols chambered in 9mm. So much attention, in fact, some might think it’s a new idea. Not quite. Carbines chambered in pistol-length cartridges go back well over 160 years. |

The 300 AAC Blackout and 308 Winchester are both 30-caliber rifle cartridges that shoot a .308” diameter bullet. However, this is where the similarities end as both cartridges have a different intended purpose.
In this caliber comparison article, we are going to take a detailed look at both the 300 AAC Blackout and the 308 Winchester. Unlike previous articles, I won’t “crown a winner” because the difference between 308 vs 300 Blackout is comparing apples to oranges.

In September of last year, one man saw a burglary in progress on his security camera. Two people were seen breaking in and going through his belongings in a nearby shed to his home. Moments later, upon being discovered, gunshots could be heard from the suspects towards the home, breaking a screen door window. But the security camera also showed the victim firing back, and it was enough to scare the suspects off — three in all.

The Herndon Town Council is considering a plan to double down on banning guns on town property. If approved, the ban would restrict the possession, use, and transportation of any firearms on specified town-owned property, including parks and community centers. It would also apply to any public street, sidewalk, right-of-way, or public place specifically being used for an official town-sponsored event.

Mossberg introduced the 590 Shockwave in 2017. Featuring a 14″ barrel and a Raptor bird’s-head pistol grip, the 12-gauge pump gun skirted BATFE regulations. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives has confirmed the 590 Shockwave as a “firearm” per the Gun Control Act (GCA) but it is not a Class 3/NFA firearm. This only speaks to its Federal status. There could be local/state laws prohibiting the sale or possession of this gun in your state. Consult the laws of your state for clarification. Just as with any other pistol grip firearm, it’s legal to own for anyone over 21 years of age who can legally buy a gun. |

The absurdity and dysfunction of the Biden Administration have become so pervasive that it’s easy to become numb to it all. But some things it does are still so outrageous and inconceivable – touching on the very identity of the nation itself – that it is worth pausing to take stock of just how far the U.S. has fallen as a country in the short time Joe Biden has occupied the White House.
