The great majority of pistols that will be purchased for hunting, plinking, self-defense or target work will be of conventional revolver or semi-automatic pistol design. Revolver actions can be further subdivided into single-action and double-action types, while semi-automatic pistols are offered in different design actions, including single-action, traditional double-action and double-action-only. |

Carmel police are investigating an apparent bomb threat on Range Line Road south of Main Street.
Attorney Guy Relford, whose law office is at 1 S. Range Line Rd., posted on social media that his office had received a bomb threat. Relford didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
CPD Lt. Tim Byrne confirmed an investigation in the area but didn’t specify the type of call. He stated in an email that CPD doesn’t believe the threat is legitimate or that there is a threat to the public.
Relford’s law office specializes in Indiana gun laws and the Second Amendment. Known as “The Gun Guy,” Relford hosts “The Gun Guy” weekly radio show on WIBC and is the owner and chief instructor at Tactical Firearms Training in Indianapolis. |

The man who lived on the property says someone drove up his driveway and went past his house to the back of the property where there’s a second house. He took his rifle and drove back to check it out.
He tells investigators the drive got out and came at him aggressively. He fired twice; he says in self-defense. The sheriff says they’re trying to figure out what exactly happened and why.
“If we thought he was going to run, we’d go ahead and arrest him. But he’s not going to run. In his mind, he’s done nothing to run from,” Sheriff Kile said. |

A state law that bans the concealed carry of firearms in the Cook County Forest Preserve District is unconstitutionally broad, according to a federal judge.
U.S. District Judge Robert Dow issued a ruling Monday that found a section of the Illinois Firearm Concealed Carry Act violates the Second Amendment by forbidding people with concealed carry licenses, or CCLs, from carrying guns anywhere in the 70,000-acre forest preserve. |

Greene County Sheriff Jim Arnott has been vocal throughout his 20 years with the department. He is pro-Second Amendment rights. It’s why when the Second Amendment Preservation Act was first introduced he thought it was a good thing.
“Basically the way the bill was designed or the intent of it. I totally agree with,” he says.
The intent is to protect Second Amendment rights for gun owners by stopping local law enforcement from enforcing federal gun laws.
Some local agencies say this law will prevent them from doing their jobs. Sheriff Arnott doesn’t see it quite that way, but he does see it has changed the way they work. |

We’ve routinely reported that Americans are buying an impressive amount of firearms. Many of those purchasers are still first-time gun owners. According to a recent survey from the National Shootings Sports Foundation (NSSF), more than 3.2 million people bought their first gun in the first half of this year.
The survey also indicated that the 3.2 million figure makes up roughly a third of the firearms purchased this year; this is based on NSSF estimating a total of about 9.8 million background checks conducted for the sale of a firearm from January to June 2021. |

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson is urging the U.S. Supreme Court to review a lower court ruling that, if left intact, inappropriately permits federal regulators to outlaw a popular firearm accessory and potentially imprison those who fail to comply with the new mandate.
Attorney General Wilson joined a 20-state coalition Friday. Its brief argues the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was afforded too much deference in using the regulatory process to criminalize the possession of bump stocks – a longtime legal accessory for semiautomatic rifles designed for those with limited hand mobility. |

It is my guess that none of the 298 guns — shotguns, .22s, .38s, .45s, and the occasional AR — turned in to the Vista Sheriff’s Department at their “Guns For Gift Cards” event on July 11th of this year were used to shoot clay pigeons. If they were, why would their owners trade them in for items worth a fraction of their value? But my guess will remain just that: as with most police-sponsored gun buy-backs, the Vista sheriffs on hand this day ask no questions about any gun’s history. |

Unlike RINO Liz Cheney, Harriet is all in for America First. Harriet has my Complete and Total Endorsement in replacing the Democrats number one provider of sound bites, Liz Cheney,” Trump said last week, using an acronym for "Republican in name only." |

Big tech, the main street media and the liberal courts have been successful in squelching our freedoms of speech and religion and are now focused on our right to bear arms.
In order to accomplish their objective of turning America into their dream of a utopian socialist/communist nation under a tyrannical government, they must first repeal the Second Amendment which was adopted primarily to protect us against a tyrannical government. At that point we will lose our liberty and of course there will be no pursuit of happiness under communism. So much for our unalienable rights. |

Behind the statistics, Irvine notes, is a national love affair with guns that began in the colonial period and runs through cowboy movies and concepts of masculinity, to manifest in current ideologies of individual freedom and lax control laws—in spite of the fact that, for example, “the average firearm homicide rate in states without background checks is 58 percent higher than the average in states with background checks in place.” |

As has been suggested elsewhere, what’s to stop a Dem-controlled state from enacting a law that says 1) anyone who is not a member of a “well-regulated militia” is not allowed to own a handgun and 2) any resident of that state can file suit against a person owning a handgun.
And should that handgun owner be unable to prove s/he is a member of a “well-regulated militia,” then his/her accuser can be awarded $10,000 in damages plus court costs.
See how this works?
No one is saying you can’t own a handgun, or that the law violates the Second Amendment – because it doesn’t. |

And then. In July, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order banning government entities, including public schools, from requiring masks or vaccination (the Texas Supreme Court denied his request last month), despite the state's rising death toll: more than 6,000 Texans have died of covid-19 in the past month. On Sept. 1, legislation allowing Texans to carry a handgun in public without a permit or the background check and training the state previously required went into effect. The same day, the Supreme Court declined to block a Texas law that banned abortions beginning at six weeks of pregnancy, one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the country.

Frum’s assessment is that gun owners can be convinced to give up their guns if they are shamed into thinking that gun ownership is socially unacceptable, much like the movements to reduce smoking and drunk driving. The problem with this equation is that smoking and drunk driving are deliberately destructive behaviors whose outcome, while not foreordained, is heavily weighted toward reduced health and death. Only someone who was rabidly anti-gun in the first place would believe that owning a firearm automatically falls into the same category. |

Under Biden’s reign, Americans are quickly losing their fundamental rights and liberties. They have already lost any vestige of a fundamental right of privacy as protected under the Unreasonable Searches and Seizures clause of the Fourth Amendment. And the Right of free speech under the First Amendment is, as well, under tremendous assault today.
And let us not forget the assault on the right of the people to keep and bear arms as codified in the Second Amendment. For without the citizenry’s exercise of the Fundamental Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms, the exercise of all other Rights is tenuous at best or becomes altogether illusory, leading inevitably, inexorably to subjugation. |

The Biden administration is seeking to join and ratify the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty, which would severely infringe upon the Second Amendment.
In March 2013, the Arms Trade Treaty’s (ATT) text and tyrannical provisions were released, and the UN General Assembly adopted it the following month — with the U.S. voting in favor. Then-Secretary of State John Kerry signed the treaty on behalf of the U.S. on September 25, 2013.
The ATT’s written objectives are to create international regulations over “the international trade [of] conventional arms” and to “[p]revent and eradicate the illicit trade in conventional arms and prevent their diversion.” |

The same can be said for Texas Hispanics — “Tejano” or “Tejana” — who are redshifting. The Democrats of Texas have long, as in 30 years or more, believed that the Hispanic vote would eventually hand them total control of Texas forever. They believe they need not adjust their policies on faith, family, life, the Second Amendment, taxes — anything — because the party brand itself was enough. If it wasn’t, then they would resort to bullying. They could go all the way left to Wendy Davis and Karl Marx if they wanted to — and they have — and the Hispanic vote would save them.
But a funny thing happened along the way. People like state Rep. Aaron Peña switched parties on principle and others followed them. And more are following them. |

“This is being investigated as a likely justifiable homicide,” he said. The alleged robber has not been publicly identified. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
There are other things so clearly out of the power of Congress, that the bare recital of them is sufficient, I mean the "...rights of bearing arms for defence, or for killing game..." These things seem to have been inserted among their objections, merely to induce the ignorant to believe that Congress would have a power over such objects and to infer from their being refused a place in the Constitution, their intention to exercise that power to the oppression of the people. —ALEXANDER WHITE (1787) |
