... "I knew I was in for a treat when the very first line thanked me for reading the article. Having read the whole polemic in order to properly fisk it, I can see why he got the thanks in early. If he’d dropped that at the end, most readers wouldn’t get far enough to to receive his gratitude. But let’s set aside the gratuitous insults to get to the meat of Luke’s gratuitous insults cloaked as stupid arguments:" ... |

"The logical contortions that antis have to undergo to hold on to their dogma never cease to amaze me. Let’s look at the latest 'study' the antis are trumpeting. It looks at changes in the firearm-related suicide rate in Connecticut after they passed a permit to purchase law and in Missouri after they repealed their PTP law . . ." ...

Despite the popularity of the round, too few realize that 9mm ball ammo can easily punch through not just one but several interior walls. By contrast, .223 rifle ammunition tends to tumble, turn and slow down when penetrating barriers, even more than a 9mm fired from some pistols. Many shooters like to debate this point, and admittedly on the surface it doesn’t seem logical, but studies done by SWAT teams over a decade ago revealed this phenomenon to be fact and it was one of the main reasons a lot of tactical teams transitioned to M-4s/AR-15s and gave up the H&K MP-5 SMG in the 80s and 90s. |

“I want this with select-fire capability.” That’s the first thing James Scavetta said to me when I walked in to his shop to pick up the Yankee Hill Machine 8020 9mm AR pistol. James was grinning as he handed me the gun to examine. As I did, he verbally explored various ways of outfitting the gun to make it the ultimate self-defense tool. |

With crime rates and gang activity that no law has been able to fix, Panama’s Public Safety Minister Rodolfo Aguilera says his country is ready to follow in the U.S.’s footsteps and make it easier—rather than harder—for citizens to carry guns on their persons for self-defense.
Aguilera indicates that Panama has tried it the other way and found no evidence to support the left’s claims that gun control is the answer. In fact, Aguilar said, “Everything seems to indicate that there is no direct correlation in the aphorism that says more guns mean more crime.”

“We are seeing it again and again, that this is actually a winning issue and you can vote to protect the American public and make the American public safe, and your political career will flourish,” John Feinblatt, president of the Bloomberg-funded gun control group Everytown for Gun Safety, told the Associated Press Tuesday.
The NRA said Feinblatt’s claim was merely spin on Thursday.
“Michael Bloomberg’s groups are willing to do ‘whatever it takes’ to push their unpopular gun control agenda,” Catherine Mortensen, an NRA spokesperson, told the Washington Free Beacon. “Apparently that includes spinning the truth to make people believe they are winning the gun control debate.” |

Last week, a memo was sent to all members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from state Representatives Vereb (R-HD 150) and Dean (D-HD 153) asking for co-sponsorship of legislation that would prohibit the trade of legal ivory and ivory products in the state of Pennsylvania.
If successful, this proposal would prohibit the sale, importation, purchase, barter or possession with intent to sell legal, antique ivory and ivory products in the Commonwealth; thus, making any lawfully-owned product that contains ivory worthless. |

Well into last night’s three-hour Republican donnybrook, which appeared to have been crafted to turn out that way by CNN, Sen. Marco Rubio simply nailed it on the question of gun control, and it was a remark that far too many of his Capitol Hill colleagues, especially on the other side of the aisle, don’t get.
“First of all,” Rubio stated matter-of-factly, “the only people that follow the law are law abiding people. Criminals, by definition, ignore the law, so you can pass all the gun laws in the world — like the left wants — (and) criminals are going to ignore it because they are criminals.” |

The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV) has a long history of being an advocate for violence against gun owners. They refer to gun owners as “Insurrectionists” for understanding why the Founders included the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights. They’ve advocated the SWATting of gun owners, in hopes of causing a violent confrontation between gun owners and police.
Showing that they have no depths to their depravity, they are now attempting to block the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) from receiving a $2.4 million grant from the Department of Justice for the Project ChildSafe. |

Backed by the National Rifle Association, the campus concealed carry bill – as well as another proposal – became the first measures passed by legislative committees in preparation for the 2016 Legislative Session beginning January.
Sponsored in the House by state Rep. Greg Steube of Sarasota, and state Sen. Greg Evers of Baker – both Republicans – the bill will allow licensed gun owners to carry at Florida colleges and universities. This week, the measure passed both the House Criminal Justice Subcommittee and Senate Criminal Justice Committee. |

Not this but next weekend, Saturday the 26th and Sunday the 27th, Wilshire Gun will feature their SIG event. Factory reps from Sig Saur will be on hand to show you their new line of suppressors and semi-auto pistols and self-defense rifles like the MPX. SIG has made big strides in better accommodating the civilian market like producing a smaller 9mm AR type sub-rifle. Tyler Miller, of Oklahoma Machine Guns, inside Wilshire Guns, let me try one out on the range the other day and I loved it.

We’ve all heard it. The anti-gun speech condemning guns, pleading to ‘stop the killing’, insisting we come together to do ‘Whatever It Takes’ to save just one more life. We’ve all made our counterpoints: That someone could just as easily (if not more easily) grab a knife and stab their victim or strangle them to death with their own hands. We’ve had this back and forth many times.
So what’s going to break this impasse? |

Sen. Ted Cruz, a former attorney general of Texas, called himself the “strongest supporter of the Second Amendment on this stage today.” He also talked about how he led a campaign with 30 other states against a Washington, D.C. gun ordinance struck down by the Supreme Court in its 2008 landmark Second Amendment ruling in District of Columbia v. Heller. In Heller, for the first time, the Supreme Court held that the Constitution protects an individual right to keep and bear arms at home. |

The POA admits its intention to have "international, regional and subregional arms of the U.N." carry out the collection and banning of people's weapons.
POA delegates returned to U.N. headquarters in 2015, where they discussed creating the "International Tracing Instrument," whose eventual goal would be to track and collect guns from ordinary citizens. The latest draft of the POA agreement was revealed to include a provision forcing gun manufacturers to add RFID chips, biometrics and GPS technology to the guns they produce.
The Second Amendment to the Constitution protects our God-given right to keep and bear arms. Weapons ownership falls within the domestic jurisdiction of our nation and is not the business of the U.N. |

Ten years ago, a college librarian in Texas was forced to retire because she was suffering from severe asthma, which required oxygen therapy. She went on disability and appointed her husband,Richard Woodman, of Weatherford Texas, to be her representative payee so he could handle their financial affairs. In his words, "she did not wish to have the worry." Woodman said his wife had never been mentally unstable and, after years of successful treatment, her asthma improved. Now, however, due to a new gun control proposal from the Obama administration, she will lose her constitutional right to own a firearm. |
