A “Copper Queen Colt”! The very name makes the pulse quicken! But what is a Copper Queen Colt and why are they so desired? The answer lies in the territory of Arizona’s history. Most of us know at least part of the history of Tombstone. The gunfight at the O.K. Corral cemented it in the minds of history buffs and movie lovers for generations. But, few know about another mining town about 20 miles or so to the southeast called Bisbee. |

California lawmakers approved a resolution for Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) proposed 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution on Thursday. Newsom’s amendment would restrict the Second Amendment by raising the minimum purchase age for all guns to 21, institute a waiting period on firearm purchases, ban firearms which Democrats label “assault weapons,” and institute universal background checks, Breitbart News reported. |

The 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5x55mm Swedish Mauser are two centerfire rifle cartridges that fire the exact same 6.5mm bullets but were developed over 100 years apart. This caliber debate can be summed up from one of the more famous lines from the 1997 move “Men in Black” starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. In the scene, Will Smith says to Tommy Lee Jones, “You know what the difference is between you and me? I make this look good!” Then Smith puts on his Ray-Ban sunglasses and Jones simply grimaces, un-phased by Smith’s bravado. |

On September 7, the California Legislature passed AB-28. The bill would place an 11 percent excise tax on the sales price of all firearms, firearm precursor parts, and ammunition. As of press time, the legislation remains on Gov. Gavin Newsom’s desk. As with the rest of the not-so-Golden State’s ever-increasing maze of gun laws, the legislation is designed to discourage the exercise of the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Understanding that they can’t bring such an unconstitutional justification into a courtroom, the tax’s backers have carefully crafted their messaging to emphasize that the tax will raise revenue for a “gun violence” fund. |

After extensive discussions with ANJRPC, the State of New Jersey has issued revised carry training requirements addressing nearly all gun owner objections and concerns. The newly revised requirements eliminated any demonstration of tactical maneuvers, eliminated a demonstration of shooting proficiency at 25 yards, significantly extended the compliance date for current permit holders to requalify, and eliminated inappropriate content from the use of force instructional materials. |

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms says the gun prohibition lobby has once again lost all credibility for not recognizing the importance of armed self-defense by private citizens, because such cases do not support their anti-gun narrative. “A perfect illustration happened a few days ago when a Georgia man shot an Ohio murder suspect during a home invasion in Fayette County,” noted CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “Such incidents provide proof that guns are used effectively by private citizens in self-defense situations, which the gun prohibition lobby repeatedly argues is a rarity. Research suggests that armed citizens use firearms in self-defense up to 1.7 million times a year.

A few days after he was engaged to be married, a Los Angeles Sheriffs Deputy was shot to death as he sat in his patrol car in front of a police station. Each time gun-control fails, California Democrats blame the honest citizens who obey the law and then pass more gun control.
I’m so sorry for the friends and family of this deputy. He deserved better treatment from both the politicians and the voters. |

You know how most gun websites have suddenly started asking users to verify they are over 18 years of age? The reason for that was just zapped by a federal court. A three-judge panel of the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals last week delivered a 34-page ruling in a case challenging new California law that banned the "marketing of firearms and related products" by the firearm industry to minors in California, essentially treating constitutionally protected items the same as age-restricted tobacco and alcohol products.
