A judge has thrown out Chicago Mayor Richard Daley’s lawsuit against gun manufacturers charging them with flooding the city with handguns.

HOW MANY AMERICANS living in America read the International Herald Tribune? My guess is not many and even fewer gun-owning citizens. Yet, on January 26th of this year an article authored by Mark Malloch Brown and Janyantha Dhanapala was required reading for American gun owners and those who believe in our national sovereignty. The point of view they expressed will surely affect Americans’ Second Amendment rights in the years to come.

Government trappers have found the remains of a bear they think bit two men who were archery hunting on Grand Mesa last week.

"After it bit one of the hunters, the man's father pulled a .44-caliber handgun to get it off his son, but the gun misfired and he threw it at the bear," Malmsbury said.

"It did attract the bear's attention. It turned and attacked him. As it did, a third member of their party grabbed the gun and fired, and the bear ran off."

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government that is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. — JAMES MADISON
