Hillary Rodham Clinton is headed to Seattle for a Dec. 11 appearance at which she will promote her book “What Happened,” which some critics have suggested is essentially a blame game chronicle that points lots of fingers in her stunning loss to Donald Trump last November. The event will be at the Paramount Theater, according to KING-TV. The book, released last week, is getting praised or panned, depending upon who is talking. A review in Politico put it this way: “Hillary Clinton promised an unvarnished take on the 2016 presidential election in her new book, ‘What Happened.’ When it comes to her political foes and frenemies, she delivered.

Guns can be expensive. In fact, they can be so expensive that owning one for self-defense and/or concealed carry is cost prohibitive for the working man. In light of that, Breitbart News thought it would be helpful to pull together information on ten guns that can be acquired brand-new for around $300. |

There’s a gun club at Kingman High School. This may come as a surprise to parents — after all, guns haven’t enjoyed a positive relationship with schools in many years. Established about seven years ago, Mohave County Sheriff’s Deputy Kerry Schanaman started the Sharpshooter’s Club at Kingman High School. It teaches archery, pistol and shotgun shooting skills. Since then, about 12 high-schoolers a year have had the opportunity to safely and responsibly practice their shotgun, speed-pistol and archery skills.

The beginning of the 2017 fall semester marks one year since campus carry took effect in public universities across Texas. According to the UNT Police Department, the law has not changed the campus environment in any significant way. “We have had no incidents since the law passed or since the law went into effect of criminal acts by License to Carry holders,” UNT Chief of Police Ed Reynolds said. “We have had cases that involved weapons on campus, but the individuals that were carrying were not License to Carry holders.”

There’s a whole world beyond the paper target out there, but even that classic paper target is evolving as shooters look for greater challenges, immediate gratification when making hits and targets that can be used on multiple range trips. When we asked the experts, there were some surprises. “It seems like today, all shooters have less time than ever before,” explained Champion Traps & Targets Public Relations Manager Jake Edson. “So, whatever we can do to save them time and increase the fun at the range is what works. That’s why we’ve really focused on reactive targets like our new Center Mass Steel, VisiColor paper and the DuraSeal line.” |

Legislation sponsored by Rep. Teresa Tanzi and Sen. Harold M. Metts to protect victims of domestic violence by disarming their abusers cleared the General Assembly today. It will now be sent to the governor’s desk. The Protect Rhode Island Families Act would prohibit gun possession by domestic abusers convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence crimes and those subject to court-issued final protective orders, and ensure that all those subject to the prohibition actually turn in their guns when they become prohibited from possessing them. The bill takes effect immediately upon passage. |
