It was born during the Cold War to give the French military an 800-meter precision platform in 7.62 NATO, but it ended up serving through to a more complicated era. When it entered service in 1986, there was still a Soviet Union and there was still, therefore, an ideological struggle between East and West – one that the French Republic had to be prepared to fight if it ever came to that.

Writing at the National Review, Kevin D. Williamson, author and “roving correspondent” for the publication, has cracked the proverbial code in a piece about the real purpose of gun control laws.
Summing up the cultural divide between rational people and gun-hating zealots in a single paragraph, Williamson observes, “Instead of doing the hard work of enforcing the law on people committed to breaking it, we focus almost all of our efforts on the most law-abiding group of Americans there is: People who legally buy firearms from licensed firearms dealers, a group that, by definition, has a felony-conviction rate of approximately 0.0 percent.

The staccato reports of high power rifles alternated with the rhythmic lapping of Lake Erie against the beaches of Ohio's Camp Perry National Guard base in early August as more than 2,000 shooters competed in the 2001 NRA National High Power Rifle championships. As it always does, torrid competition at the nationals slowly sifted the best marksmen and women from the expansive field, while unusually warm temperatures baked spectators and competitors alike. While some shooters who watched their scores fall inversely to the temperature bowed out early, most hung in to the last shot. |

Wisconsin deer hunters are back in the woods Saturday for the opening of bow season. It’s always a busy time for staff at the Reel Shot. “You got the guys who know the gig, who start getting their equipment ready already in spring,” said Marc Drewek, Reel Shot's store manager. “Of course there’s always the procrastinators but we’re more than willing to accommodate that if we can.” |

It’s not nearly as complicated as once I thought it was. It’s a top-down insurrection. All that it ever needed was a sufficient number of conspirators, in key positions, to network with each other. Granted, the numbers needed were large. That is why it took so many years to take hold. Once the threshold was reached, however, circa 2015 or 16, the treachery began in full swing. |

We had the pleasure of hitting the range not that long ago to shoot some video. Because we had a lot of guns and gear to shoot, we had to make the most of our space. I was told to test the durability and usability of this rifle case since it’s been a popular seller for us. While this particular model is meant for a single rifle or shotgun I was able to get two different Landor Arms AR-12 style shotguns in this case. Like I said, lots of guns and gear had to go to the range. Overall, I found this case to be very comfortable, capable, and what seems to be durable. I could see this case doubling on a hunt or laid out in the competition circuit. Check out some of the best features that impressed me below.

With a "Blade Runner"/"RoboCop" futuristic aesthetic, the FK Brno PSD pistol can move seamlessly across four calibers, including the very compelling 7.5 FK. FK Brno first appeared on the scene in the Czech Republic a decade ago, eventually bringing its Field Pistol to market by 2015. A sort of souped-up CZ 75 with lots of extra meat, the Field Pistol was designed around the potent new 7.5 FK cartridge – which we will get to in a minute, hold on – and made entirely by machining specialty high-strength alloys to create a beautiful gun complete with aluminum G10 grips.
