Buried slightly below the surface of an investigation into what appears to have been a murder-suicide involving one of Seattle’s most well-known repeat offenders is quite possibly the key to the city’s worsening reputation as place you wouldn’t want to live, much less visit.
It took the death of self-confessed meth addict Travis Berge—a man whose criminal record included 47 arrests and more than 35 convictions, according to KOMO News—and his “unofficial wife,” Lisa, at the city’s Cal Anderson Park. Berge’s behavior, captured partly in last year’s grim documentary “Seattle is Dying,” and his criminal history should have raised red flags all over the landscape that his story would end badly. |

Michigan is one state where you think Senators would not think of a course of action that fails to respect the Second Amendment. Sadly, that is not the case with either Debbie Stabenow or Gary Peters. In 2018, John James didn’t beat Stabenow, but he came within seven points – polls had shown Stabenow with as much as a 17-point margin. |

Though the slim, compact size of the SIG Sauer P365 has made it one of the top-selling concealed-carry pistols on the market, the micro-compact frame eliminates the possibility of attaching most lights or lasers on the market to this petite pistol. The Nightstick TSM-13G is purpose-built to attach to the unique accessory rail on the SIG Sauer P365, giving owners the chance to enhance their defensive pistol with a light-laser combination.

Though many businesses have struggled during the pandemic, gun sales and permits have skyrocketed since March. In July of last year, the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office issued 189 pistol permits. This July that number leaped to over 2,000, and some conceal carry classes have tripled in size. But no matter how you look at it, guns, especially during this election season, are a divisive issue.

It’s becoming increasingly popular to use a red dot sight as a sighting device for your centerfire pistol. However, the sheer size of a red dot makes them hard to mount on smaller guns like Springfield Hellcat, SIG Sauer P365 or Glock 43 and 48. Shield Sights is a pioneer of compact micro red dot optics for compact pistols, and now the company is teaming up with Glock Inc. to present the new Glass Edition RMSc red dot sight. This new optic is designed to work on guns that are milled to accept other models of Shield red dot sights, and it works especially well with Glock’s new MOS versions of the 43X and 48.

Whether it's wanting better accuracy or more power, inspiration for a new design in ammunition can come from many different sources and the result can be a significant advancement in cartridge design. For the .458 Lott, the inspiration was a near death encounter in Africa. Gun writer Jacques "Jack" Lott was hunting Cape buffalo with a .458 Winchester Magnum. He shot the buffalo, but could not stop it before it injured him. He returned from Africa on a quest to find or develop a cartridge more suitable for taking dangerous game. |
