An East Texas police chief has resigned after a complaint of offensive conduct from a female victim. Jefferson police chief Frank Williams has stepped down after a woman filed a complaint against him, in which she says, he touched her inappropriately and made other unwanted advances in an off duty encounter.
Williams turned in his badge and gun last month. The victim filed a complaint of sexual harassment against the chief. Williams had been Jefferson police chief since 1998.
