"It’s a common misconception that all celebrities are liberal, anti gun snobs. This is simple not true. Just like in any group of people there are those who support and those who oppose private gun ownership and self defense."
"Now, I’m sure many of you who normally despise keeping up with celebrities are thinking, 'Hey GunsSaveLives, why should we care what these celebrities think?'"
"Good question, and the answer is simple, it’s good, positive exposure for private gun ownership. You might not care what some celebrities think, but a lot of people [sadly] do, so having some on our side certainly doesn’t hurt."

"There are many reasons why shooters reload ammunition: some handload because they want to improve accuracy, others because they have trouble readily finding the proper caliber ammunition for their gun and still others because they need more wallop to get the job done right the first time. But perhaps the biggest reason many shooters become reloaders is the cost and in the days of a slow economy with everyone just scratching gravel to get by, saving a few dollars wherever you can doesn’t hurt. The question is, how many dollars (if any) are you saving?" ... |

Programme of Action on Small Arms and Light Weapons (POA) that took place August 27 through September 7. "A former East St. Louis police officer who stole a Rolex watch planted by federal agents as a test has been sentenced to 66 days in prison."
"Larry Greenlee, of Belleville, pleaded guilty in May to stealing the watch, which agents planted as part of an integrity test. ..." ... -------
Submitter's Note: Assuming the Rolex was valued at more than $500 and less than $10,000 that should have been a Class 3 Felony which, according to this table would merit 2 to 5 years (not 2 months) plus a 15 year enhancement for "using" (i.e. possessing) a firearm during commission of the crime. This guy must have had one Hell of a lawyer! |

"A grand jury in Cleveland indicted a Tennessee state trooper, his wife and two daughters in the accidental shooting death of the officer's granddaughter."

Submitter's Note: A horrible tragedy and a reminder that guns can be dangerous, especially in the hands of children. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
I do believe that where there is a choice only between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence. Thus when my eldest son asked me what he should have done had he been present when I was almost fatally assaulted in 1908 [by an Indian extremist opposed to Gandhi's agreement with Smuts], whether he should have run away and seen me killed or whether he should have used his physical force which he could and wanted to use, and defend me, I told him it was his duty to defend me even by using violence. Hence it was that I took part in the Boer War, the so-called Zulu Rebellion and [World War I]. Hence also do I advocate training in arms for those who believe in the method of violence. I would rather have India resort to arms in order to defend her honor than that she should in a cowardly manner become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonor. — Mohandas K. Gandhi, Young India, August 11, 1920 from Fischer, Louis ed.,The Essential Gandhi, 1962 |
