"Forensic tests are being carried out on the weapons, which include a sawn-off shotgun, a rifle and two pistols." ===== Of course, it helps them to put drugs in the mix, too.
Any gun owner in America who also has drugs in his possession is a dummy. You'd better watch the news and pay attention. Drugs and guns mean federalizatoin of crimes in growing numbers of cases, and also often mean instant felony where no felony would have existed. (Even casual users of drugs, take heed.) |

Just another writeup on "First Monday", the gathering of people who refuse to differentiate criminals from lawful gun owners.
I put this link here so we could examine the title.
Isn't it funny how D.C. residents are "uniting to end gun violence" with laws, when their gun violence happens with guns that are banned in their city?
"Funny" is not the right word. "Sick" fits much better, yes? |

Bermuda police, seeking to curb a recent spate of gang violence, are considering an offer of amnesty to gang members turning in illegal guns..."
Recent violence has "included Molotov cocktail and baseball bat attacks." ===== Violent people will use whatever means available to commit their violence, and not all bad people will turn in guns. This would only make those who keep their guns better able to commit violence. Turn in my guns? Criminals first. |

Under the seat is not the most convenient place to keep your gun while in your car:
"...defense attorneys told jurors that while their client intended to rob the cab driver, she did not intend to kill him. John Arcady had been shot once in the back of the head and died at the scene. The gun he kept for protection sat in its cloth holster beneath his seat, untouched."
"If convicted, Ms. Lipscomb could be sentenced to death. The trial resumes at 9:30 a.m. today."
Good. If she did it, FRY HER. I am TIRED of bad people messing it up for lawful gunowners. |

Another violent mistake from police officers. Luckily the man lived, unlike the tradgedy with the eleven year old boy last week in what is called a "gun accident".
"-- The local chief of police has apologized to a man who was "taken down" by officers after they mistook his heart monitor strap for a gun holster. "(The chief) said, 'I am sorry this happened to you. I am going to look into this.' "
Hopefully better than the 11-year old accident.

"Cohen has written "The Avengers" (Knopf, $25), another true-life tale of Jews with guns. It's the story of three men who escaped from a ghetto in Vilna, Lithuania, during World War II, became fierce partisan fighters and then, as the war was winding down, hatched a plan to poison thousands of German POWs." ===== At least he's reaching some people with the truth about people who resisted - with guns - the Nazi's. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them. — Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States; With a Preliminary Review of the Constitutional History of the Colonies and States before the Adoption of the Constitution [Boston, 1833]. |
