“45 ACP” and “45 Auto” are two different names for the same exact cartridge. “ACP” stands for “Automatic Colt Pistol,” so when you see “45 ACP” on one box of ammo and “45 Auto” on another, you can rest assured they’re one and the same.

The states banning AR-15s have the Second Amendment exactly backward. That’s the core of a new amicus brief filed with the Supreme Court, and it flips the usual anti-gun logic on its head. The AR-15’s usefulness for militia service is precisely why it deserves constitutional protection, not a reason to ban it.

In its next term, the Supreme Court will take up “assault weapon” bans. Such bans refer specifically to the AR-15 rifle family and similar semiautomatic rifles. Not only are they emotional rather than rational, but they’re also an attempt to circumvent the Supreme Court’s Heller and Bruen decisions, which held, among other things, that the Second Amendment is not a second-class right and that controversies must be decided under the Strict Scrutiny standard, the highest standard of judicial review.

Forget about what the grouse hunting “purists” have said—that it’s not fair chase to pop fool hens with a .22-caliber pistol—and keep this in perspective: do these birds stand a better chance dodging a cloud of No. 6 or 7 ˝ shot, or a single 36- or 40-grain lead bullet before disappearing into the forest?

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
Gun control? It's the best thing you can do for crooks and gangsters. I want you to have nothing. If I'm a bad guy, I'm always gonna have a gun. Safety locks? You will pull the trigger with a lock on, and I'll pull the trigger. We'll see who wins. — Sammy "The Bull" Gravano, whose testimony convicted John Gotti.
