Clearly, soon-to-be former New York Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) has a visceral dislike of firearms, gun owners, gun makers and the Second Amendment, so when she recently introduced two new gun control measures, it was not really surprising.
What was surprising was how the legislative move was described by The Hill, a publication that’s been keeping an eye on Capitol Hill for decades. She “introduced two bills … targeting the firearm industry, setting new restrictions for supplying firearms to gun distributors and retailers and imposing a tax on certain guns.” |

And now that the ATF has created a complete federal gun registry of every commercial firearm transaction in the last 20 years, the ATF is in its strongest position in history to begin confiscating your firearms.
The tyranny MUST END NOW. We are ordering the House of Representatives to DEFUND the ATF so that it doesn’t have a single penny at its disposal to infringe upon gun owners’ rights. |

New gun laws in New York for those seeking a concealed carry license, including a review of social media accounts by law enforcement, was cleared to go into effect by a federal judge last week, but questions about how the state will enforce it and future legal challenges remain.
The new rules, part of the state’s Concealed Carry Improvement Act, followed a Supreme Court ruling in June that prohibits states from requiring residents seeking a gun license to prove a special need to carry a handgun outside the home. |

So now you know: If only New York’s new gun laws had been in effect on May 14, there would have been no massacre at the Jefferson Avenue Tops. Why not? Because it would have been illegal for the shooter to buy his firearm or to take it to a “restricted location” like the supermarket, and that surely would have stopped him.
At least that’s what Gov. Kathy Hochul would have us believe, based on her news conference last week when she cited the Buffalo murders in trying to justify the new restrictions that a federal judge – while allowing them on procedural grounds – has called unconstitutional. |

Police surveillance video, as well as dash-cam video footage from the shooter’s car, were recovered by investigators, leading to the arrest of the alleged shooter.
As contained in the arrest report, Former Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Brad Sosnowsky, 55, a highly decorated DEA retiree who served under President Bush, had nearly collided with the victim, 67-year-old Thomas Vanatwerp III’s car as they exited I-95. Citing dash cam footage from inside Sosnowsky’s car, he raced west at speeds of up to 70 MPH towards a stop light where could be heard saying “Come on, (expletive). Let’s go”. |

The anti-gun lobby loves to believe that their portrayal of gun-related deaths in America pushes the needle toward more support for gun control.
They fail to realize that the more violence is portrayed in the media, the more people seek ways to protect themselves. Some will hide and rarely go out in public, and some will move from high-crime areas to places they believe will be safer, but many will decide to take responsibility for their own safety and become gun owners. |

A coalition of gun-rights groups asked a federal court to block Section 2 of SB-1327, a new state law that imposes the cost of litigation on those who challenge gun restrictions in more cases, before it goes into effect at the beginning of next year. The law allows state government officials to seek legal fees from plaintiffs if they are unsuccessful on any of their claims. It creates a situation where plaintiffs may have to pay the state’s legal fees even if a court agrees to strike down the law they challenged. |

Unfortunately, it is not shocking anymore when gun crimes are reported in the United States. From 1968 to 2017, there were 1.5 million firearms deaths. This number is higher than the number of American soldiers killed in every U.S. conflict since the country’s Revolutionary War in 1775. This is an urgent alarm to spotlight the origins and reality of gun usage. |

The New York State Jewish Gun Club plans to sue New York for banning firearms in places of worship, calling it “unconstitutional” in an interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Tzvi Waldman, the founder of the New York State Jewish Gun Club, is working with a civil rights attorney to challenge a provision of New York’s new Concealed Carry Improvement Act (CCIA), prohibiting congregants from carrying guns inside places of worship among other locations it deems “sensitive.” He told the DCNF he is “very confident” the law will “definitely” be overturned, calling it “unconstitutional on so many levels.” |

"You can read the back of my T-shirt, I am pro-Second Amendment. I am not anti-firearm by any means of the imagination and I don’t want to take away anyone’s firearms that are responsible gun owners," said Jonathon Gold of Giffords Gun Owners for Safety. "By the same token, we have to do something to control what is now an incessant plague of violence.
"Like keeping guns out of the hands of children."
There was no disagreement there from Dingell (D-District 12). |

The Ninth Circuit has sent a lawsuit challenging California’s regulation of types of firearms that can be sold to young adults back to the lower court for review in light of the U.S. Supreme Court's recent bolstering of gun rights.
In a 4-page order Wednesday, the Ninth Circuit panel vacated its opinion reversing a lower court judge’s refusal to preliminarily block a California law barring young adults from buying semiautomatic rifles, which it also vacated. |

Jacob Bryant is a singer/songwriter with a “won’t-sell-out” attitude. His honest lyrics and lived-in, rooted songs have gained him a more-than-solid following. Jacob is a Georgia native who started playing guitar at 8 years old, and his bluegrass roots are among his earliest music memories. Jacob’s storytelling, whether depicting an outlaw way of life in “More Than One Year,” dealing with changes and progress of the world in “Good Ol’ Boy,” or a song showing the struggles of becoming an artist in his most recent single “Amen,” shows his style of southern rock as well as traditional country. |

Congressman Nehls, as a former military officer with vast law enforcement experience, you know first-hand the horrific outcome of these weapon that were originally developed for military use only.
Congressman, we urge you to support legislative efforts to curb the scourge of gun violence, which is a Texas and national emergency. While guns are not the cause of suicide, or domestic and community violence, they contribute to an increasing — and preventable — number of tragedies like our own. Enough is enough. |
