You read the headline right, 20,000 frustrated, furious, fed-up and energized gun owners in each state needed to coordinate with one another and plan something significant — something to make headlines and leave an impression. Last year, Virginia activists got about 22,000 of their friends and neighbors to descend on Richmond. Considering there are three or four times as many gun owners in each state, by working together — setting aside personal differences and egos — you really should be able to get this done. |

Oh, you sweet summer child. You underestimate the willingness of Associated Press members to tell obvious lies:
Why 20,000? Because it’s a number the media cannot possibly ignore or deliberately underestimate, and because it has already been proven possible. No reporter will be able to look at a crowd and estimate the size to be in the “hundreds.” |

My above comment should not be taken as disparagement of the idea. I was a big supporter of the Richmond Lobby Day activities on 1-20-20.
Just don't be complacent and expect the media to never lie about you, just because the lie would be obvious to anybody who cares to pay attention. Furthermore, do expect to be ignored as long as you remain peaceful (while a couple dozen rioters get taken seriously and catered to because they're dangerous), and do expect to be called terrorists when you stop being peaceful. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
To have no proud monarch driving over me with his gilt coaches; nor his host of excise-men and tax-gatherers insulting and robbing me; but to be my own master, my own prince and sovereign, gloriously preserving my national dignity, and pursuing my true happiness; planting my vineyards, and eating their luscious fruits; and sowing my fields, and reaping the golden grain: and seeing millions of brothers all around me, equally free and happy as myself. This, sir, is what I long for. -- General Francis Marion, American War of Independence, Georgetown, SC [Source: 'Marion, The Life of Gen. Francis Marion' by M. L. Weems, Ch.18] |
