The nation’s attention was on Chicago recently where a police officer and two others were murdered by a deranged gunman at Chicago’s Mercy Hospital. The loss of life may have even been greater were it not for the bravery and heroism of Chicago police officer Samuel Jimenez, who gave his life to protect others. While we mourn the lives lost in tragedies like these, it’s important to learn from them and have a real conversation in our society about whether we are truly doing everything possible to protect ourselves and those around us. |

Great story. If you can, just don't patronize places that look at you as if you're some kind of suspect. In order to get a CCW permit, you have been shown to have "NO" felony convictions in your lifetime, You have "Never" been convicted of any drug offenses, You have "Passed" a criminal background check. So yes, "Gun Free" zones were invented to display total disrespect for the law abiding, and giving criminals the "OK" to come in and do as they will. Shameful... |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. ~ Marcus Tullius Cicero (42B.C) |
