Democratic former Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen and Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn will win their respective primaries, CNN projects. Their victories were widely expected.
The race to be the Volunteer State's next governor also came into focus on Thursday, where attention in recent weeks has been on the competitive and nasty fight for the Republican nomination among Rep. Diane Black and businessmen Bill Lee and Randy Boyd.
Lee will win the GOP nomination, CNN projects, defeating Black, who was backed by Vice President Mike Pence. |

"Trump's sagging popularity"?
CNN yet again proves that it is FAKE NEWS.
Rasmussen has DJT's popularity rating at 50%, higher than the last three presidents at this point in their terms.
It's the first time he's reached this number, therefore "sagging" is a blatant LIE. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
"Let us contemplate our forefathers, and posterity, and resolve to maintain the rights bequeathed to us from the former, for the sake of the latter. The necessity of the times, more than ever, calls for our utmost circumspection, deliberation, fortitude, and perseverance. Let us remember that `if we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and involve others in our doom.' It is a very serious consideration...that millions yet unborn may be the miserable sharers of the event." --Samuel Adams, speech in Boston, 1771 |
