This is patently false. Whether she's deliberately lying or shamefully uneducated is immaterial. She is perpetrating a falsehood.
The 2A was created to secure liberty against the possibility of the government going tyrannically rogue.
It doesn't create the right, and the core of the preexisting individual right is self-defense; the 2A itself, however, exists specifically to guarantee Americans' ability to bear arms to deter tyranny. |
