As the Obama administration itself is winding down, but Obama himself is winding up.
I’ve predicted this would happen for a long time. I was happy with the rhetoric he used at the beginning of the Trump transition. But now the full Obama is becoming clearer.
The Obama administration is issuing a final version of a rule from the Social Security Administration that is pointed at people who get supplemental income from Social Security. This rule will cause “tens of thousands of law-abiding (and vulnerable) disability insurance and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients to a loss of Second Amendment rights under the guise of re-characterizing them as ‘mental defectives.’” |

Trump could save himself a lot of time getting a staff together that could undo all of Obama's recent exec orders in one fell swoop. Day 1, done. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
We'll take one step at a time, and the first is necessarily - given the political realities - very modest. We'll have to start working again to strengthen the law, and then again to strengthen the next law and again and again. Our ultimate goal, total control of handguns, is going to take time. The first problem is to slow down production and sales. Next is to get registration. The final problem is to make possession of all handguns and ammunition (with a few exceptions) totally illegal. — Pete Shields, founder of Handgun Control, Inc., New Yorker Magazine, June 26, 1976, pg. 53 |
