But the problem then, as is true after mass shootings today, was guns. Whether it’s Columbine or recent mass shootings in Las Vegas or Parkland, Florida, the fundamental issue is that the people behind these tragedies were able to obtain extremely deadly firearms, from handguns to assault rifles to weapons modified with devices like bump stocks. This is what let the shooters carry out such awful atrocities. |

All of those words, and for what?
To conceal the real issue - their problem is FREEDOM.
Freedom to act lawfully and peacefully, and freedom to act violently and criminally.
But make no mistake - they know that getting rid of guns won't end the violent criminal behavior. What it WILL do is eliminate our liberty. And they know that, too.
In plain point of fact, that is their goal. |

55% of mass shootings are done with handguns. There's been a couple of school shootings where shotguns were used; I predict that if we do get another AWB, shotguns will see much more use. They are DEADLY weapons. It's the psychopaths we allow to go untreated and free in society, not the guns. The Parkland High School shooter in Florida should have been arrested and confined LONG BEFORE that school shooting.
STOP TRYING TO BAN THE GUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
I do believe that where there is a choice only between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence. Thus when my eldest son asked me what he should have done had he been present when I was almost fatally assaulted in 1908 [by an Indian extremist opposed to Gandhi's agreement with Smuts], whether he should have run away and seen me killed or whether he should have used his physical force which he could and wanted to use, and defend me, I told him it was his duty to defend me even by using violence. Hence it was that I took part in the Boer War, the so-called Zulu Rebellion and [World War I]. Hence also do I advocate training in arms for those who believe in the method of violence. I would rather have India resort to arms in order to defend her honor than that she should in a cowardly manner become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonor. — Mohandas K. Gandhi, Young India, August 11, 1920 from Fischer, Louis ed.,The Essential Gandhi, 1962 |
