At the Little Rock Police Department's robbery division, Detective Robert Martin and his team are pouring over surveillance video working to identify suspects in a string of robberies over the weekend into Monday. During a normal weekend, Martin says his department usually works three to four robberies. From Saturday to Monday there were 11. Surveillance video from Monday shows four armed men storming a Days Inn hotel in Little Rock. Police believe the suspects are responsible for six robberies in the city since Saturday.

A journalist might say LRPD Investigates String of Armed Robberies, or LRPD Investigates Robbery Spree.
Arkansas Matters employees would say LRPD Investigates String of Gun Crimes. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
"Let us contemplate our forefathers, and posterity, and resolve to maintain the rights bequeathed to us from the former, for the sake of the latter. The necessity of the times, more than ever, calls for our utmost circumspection, deliberation, fortitude, and perseverance. Let us remember that `if we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and involve others in our doom.' It is a very serious consideration...that millions yet unborn may be the miserable sharers of the event." --Samuel Adams, speech in Boston, 1771 |
