"Last Wednesday, 19 orange ribbons were hung on the gate outside Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church, representing the 19 people killed by firearms in Savannah since Jan. 1."
"The lighter-colored ribbons, of which there were three, represent the victims who were younger than 18."
"Sunday, the list of names was read and a bell was again rung for each of the victims. Then, church member Anne Allen Westbrook was asked to speak about gun violence in Savannah, as a representative of the Savannah chapter of Moms Demand Action ..." ...
"One of the ways Westbrook said that people can help prevent the unacceptable loss of life is through education and making gun storage a common question for parents and children to ask about." ... |

the sikh temple wisconsin members led the pack in towing the gun control line and this is more race pimping....am getting rather cynical by now about (many aspects of) organized religion....methodist one of the top liberal offenders, with presbyterian, catholic, etc. "They" say trust in G-d rather than bring a gun into The House Of G-d ("He helps those who help themselves"), but here they're obviously not trusting in G-d and pushing gun control. You can't have it both ways....hypocrisy. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them. — Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States; With a Preliminary Review of the Constitutional History of the Colonies and States before the Adoption of the Constitution [Boston, 1833]. |
