If the NRA and cowardly politicians interpret the Second Amendment as prohibiting expanded background checks and making it easy for civilians to possess military-style assault weapons, it’s time to repeal the Second Amendment.
It is being used in ways that the amendment’s drafters never would have envisioned. |

OMG. People just can't read, or listen, or understand. Almost every way I can buy a gun online, or store, or gun show uses the background check. Gun sellers are not stupid. They don't want to be the one that sells a gun that is used to murder innocent people. Most of the individuals that sell require either a Permit to Purchase, or the person have a Carry Permit. Oh did I mention that gun ranges and clubs are now requiring Carry Permits of their members.
So it goes back to who wants to get rid of guns..
Liberals!!! (because you can't control someone who can fight back)

Now, as for 'military-style assault weapons'. "Style" is right. Stripped down to their basic function, there is no difference between an AR15 and grandpa's deer rifle, except maybe the price tag. But ooooowww, it LOOKS like a military gun, so it must be banned. It must be controlled. OK, then we should control cars and make sure that they can't go over 70 mph, or won't start unless the driver is stone cold sober. Car accidents have killed way over more children than guns.
It is time to wake up people. The elite want to control you, and they are trying to remove your only way of resisting. |

It always amazes me that liberals think they know more than anyone else.
I find it difficult to believe that Thomas Jefferson could not envision advancements in firearms. He was truly a renascence man with amazing intellect.
Calling politicians cowardly for supporting the constitution is demeaning.
Criminals, terrorists, and sickos will get guns regardless of any laws and background checks. Anyone that suggests that additional laws and regulations will disarm those factions is truly delusional. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
"Some people think that the Second Amendment is an outdated relic of an earlier time. Doubtless some also think that constitutional protections of other rights are outdated relics of earlier times. We The People own those rights regardless, unless and until We The People repeal them. For those who believe it to be outdated, the Second Amendment provides a good test of whether their allegiance is really to the Constitution of the United States, or only to their preferences in public policies and audiences. The Constitution is law, not vague aspirations, and we are obligated to protect, defend, and apply it. If the Second Amendment were truly an outdated relic, the Constitution provides a method for repeal. The Constitution does not furnish the federal courts with an eraser." --9th Circuit Court Judge Andrew Kleinfeld, dissenting opinion in which the court refused to rehear the case while citing deeply flawed anti-Second Amendment nonsense (Nordyke v. King; opinion filed April 5, 2004) |
