The election of pro-gun-control lawmakers in the House, which helped Democrats capture the majority during this month's midterm elections, is being seen by those wanting to limit Second Amendment rights as a pivotal political moment.
“The tide has been turning for some time now, with more and more Americans getting frustrated and saying enough with each mass shooting. We saw it in last year's elections in Virginia and New Jersey when voters listed gun safety as a top priority, and we saw it again this year,” Max Samis, press secretary for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, told the Washington Examiner. |

| I wonder what makes these Oath breaking elected officials, think that they can assume more and more power that is not delegated to them in the Constitution? The People of America have never authorized their elected representatives to destroy their Bill of Rights. All members of Congress must take an oath of office to support the Constitution before assuming office. Citizens must demand that their elected officials be bound by the chains of the Constitution. Persons of little character, or honor disobey their oath. |

Keep believing that it's a turning point on 2A rights, just keep telling yourselves that. Everything is what you want it to be. You win it's a mandate ... you lose its a "moral victory". General Custer, Napoleon Bonaparte, they never had it THAT good.

Sound and fury, signifying nothing.
We hold the presidency and the Senate, and the Court is now originalist.
Gun control is DOA. |

TO REMEMBER |
| By calling attention to a well-regulated militia for the security of the Nation, and the right of each citizen to keep and bear arms, our Founding Fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny, which gave rise to the second amendment, will ever be a major danger to our Nation, the amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic military-civilian relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of the country. For that reason I believe the second amendment will always be important. --JOHN F. KENNEDY |
