THE ISSUE: The right to bear arms is fundamental to the U.S., carved into the Constitution and seemingly embedded in the national DNA. But after a seemingly endless stretch of violence, Americans are confronting how far those rights extend, propelling gun issues to the forefront of this year's elections.

The RIGHT is not given by the 2A. It was here long before the USA was formed, there is NO gov laws that can infringe on that right to law abiding people. Therefore the gun control laws are, by our constitution, null and void. The gov. only has a mandate for criminal law, and they can not MAKE criminals out of law abiding people !!! |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense? Where is the difference between having our arms in possession and under our direction, and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands? — Patrick Henry, 3 J. Elliot, Debates in the Several State Conventions 45, 2d ed. Philadelphia, 1836 |
