so, the only threat untouchable by heat (cooking) are prions, you know, the wasting disease viral pathogens present in brain and/or spinal tissue of mammals: kuru (human cannibalism, see: Syria), mad cow disease, deer/elk have their version, etc I was thinking only gamma could touch it, maybe someone could shed light on this important topic, for the food safety of hunters, the charities they donate it to and general liability... ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12542732 "RESULTS: ...viruses were inactivated by .... and scrapie by an estimated 1.5 log10, whereas albumin was only moderately aggregated and fragmented." QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.... We've been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of government himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden. The solutions we seek must be equitable, with no one group singled out to pay a higher price. — Ronald Reagan |
