A county in Utah has shot down the idea of more gun control by becoming the first county in the state to declare itself a Second Amendment sanctuary.
The three-member Uintah County Commission voted unanimously Jan. 29 to pass an ordinance making the county a stronghold that refuses to comply with federal or state laws that county leaders deem unconstitutional.
The ordinance, Uintah County Commissioner Bill Stringer told The Daily Signal, is in preparation for anticipated unconstitutional legislation restricting gun sales and ownership at the state level. |
