Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers is giving Republican lawmakers a couple of weeks to come-up with new gun control proposals, then he says he'll order lawmakers back to the Capitol. The governor on Friday said he's considering a special session to deal with guns. Evers has said for weeks that he wants a red flag law and stricter background checks in the state.

There is no debate. If anything should be talked about, it's why elected servants attempt to explain away their inept, bungling, no clue worth, by trying to shift the blame onto folks that have done nothing wrong. These feeble attempts to prove their worthiness on the backs of the law abiding is nothing short of nauseating. There are enough laws on the books. How about enforcing them first. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense? Where is the difference between having our arms in possession and under our direction, and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands? — Patrick Henry, 3 J. Elliot, Debates in the Several State Conventions 45, 2d ed. Philadelphia, 1836 |
