Last Friday morning started as any other morning would for Kenneth Lee, the owner of Pennsbury Pharmacy on New Falls Road in Falls Township, but by 9:56 a.m., the day took a turn which would dramatically alter the lives of all involved.
Lee was manning the family-owned pharmacy on a slow Friday morning, taking care of his usual duties on the computer. From one screen behind the counter, Lee could see surveillance camera angles from the inside and outside of the store. A minivan pulled up and a masked man with what looked like a rifle or shotgun jumped out.

The family of Willie A. Bozarth created this Life Tributes page to make it easy to share your memories. http://www.mcgfuneral.com/obituaries/Willie-Bozarth/#!/Obituary In it, we learn that Willie "passed away suddenly." It got me to thinking that the armed robbery rate would drop precipitously if more perps "passed away suddenly." |

On Monday, Bucks County District Attorney Dave Heckler said the owner of the pharmacy wouldn’t be prosecuted. Lee “performed a public service" when he shot Bozarth, Heckler said in an on-air interview with 6ABC. http://patch.com/new-jersey/southbrunswick/man-killed-pharmacy-robbery-attempt-south-brunswick-high-graduate-0

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? [...] The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!" —Alexander Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago (Chapter 1 "Arrest") |
