Nearly 40 Virginians have had their firearms seized — some permanently — after the state instituted a red flag law on July 1, according to a report. Virginia judges issued 26 temporary and 10 permanent orders in July and August, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Under the red flag law, the orders allow police to confiscate a person’s legally-owned firearms for a two-week period if the subject of the investigation is deemed a threat. |

| This is a wakeup call for every gun owner. Join and support your gun support organization. Make sure they are active in the legislative processes. be active youself in the legislative proceeses. This is a fight tooth and nail. Also, get out and vote. If, the elected rep is anti gun, think about organizing impeachment process against them. |

TO REMEMBER |
| By calling attention to a well-regulated militia for the security of the Nation, and the right of each citizen to keep and bear arms, our Founding Fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny, which gave rise to the second amendment, will ever be a major danger to our Nation, the amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic military-civilian relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of the country. For that reason I believe the second amendment will always be important. --JOHN F. KENNEDY |
