The Mossberg 500 is a workhorse. It’s true. This pump-action shotgun can do it all. From self-defense and hunting to military and police uses, the Mossberg 500 has become a favorite, with over 10 million made since they were first developed in 1960. They’ve been a popular option for over 60 years. |

Yes, it is a great shotgun and has been for a long time. I owned one back in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
BUT....
My vintage Remi Wingmaster 18˝" police riot gun is WAY more bad-a$$, cool-factor-wise.
Why? Why, just because it's a Remington, of course! |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects. — Robert Heinlein |
