The Bell County Commissioners Court will be sending a letter to the Texas Attorney General’s office in regards to a citation it received for violating the government code and penal code by refusing to allow licensed handgun holders in the Bell County Justice Center. Commissioners unanimously approved an order to discuss and take action on the issue Monday morning. “This is the first step we need to take to see what will be appropriate action for us to take on this,” County Judge Jon Burrows said. “We want to do what is right, but we have an obligation to the public to protect the public. We need to be able to have the authority to deal with the AG’s (attorney general’s) office on this.”

What you need to do, gentlemen, is to obey the law.
Simple. |

Simple solution. Keep your metal detector and exempt anyone with a valid carry permit. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. ~ Marcus Tullius Cicero (42B.C) |
