Armed citizens "absolutely" distracted police by drawing guns during the Colorado Walmart shooting on Wednesday night that left three dead, police said—the latest example of law enforcement struggling to deal with armed civilians in the middle of a crisis.
In the midst of the Colorado manhunt, police officers wasted precious minutes poring over surveillance footage, becoming frequently distracted because the tape showed several armed people whose movements needed to be tracked before cops could rule out each as a suspect, reported The Denver Post. |

Geee, I wish cops' jobs were easy, 'cause I like doughnuts!
Sorry about the snark. Yea, cops have a tough jobs. I don't think I'd like doing it, and I respect those who do put on the blue and protect & serve. But I was taught back in the Jurassic Period that the only way for cops to have it simple was in a police state.....we give up our rights, our freedoms, and gain security. You know what happens then? Freedom is messy. Sorry. Put on your big-boy pants and buck up and BE FREE! |

It isn't our responsibility to make cops' jobs easier.
Will we, if we can? ABSOLUTELY.
But our right to defend ourselves supersedes the cops' job being "easier".
Period. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
"Some people think that the Second Amendment is an outdated relic of an earlier time. Doubtless some also think that constitutional protections of other rights are outdated relics of earlier times. We The People own those rights regardless, unless and until We The People repeal them. For those who believe it to be outdated, the Second Amendment provides a good test of whether their allegiance is really to the Constitution of the United States, or only to their preferences in public policies and audiences. The Constitution is law, not vague aspirations, and we are obligated to protect, defend, and apply it. If the Second Amendment were truly an outdated relic, the Constitution provides a method for repeal. The Constitution does not furnish the federal courts with an eraser." --9th Circuit Court Judge Andrew Kleinfeld, dissenting opinion in which the court refused to rehear the case while citing deeply flawed anti-Second Amendment nonsense (Nordyke v. King; opinion filed April 5, 2004) |
