"'A group of gun rights fanatics protested last week at the home of Senate President Steve Sweeney,' an nj.com editorial reports (substituting the word 'fanatics' for 'protestors'), 'throwing reckless accusations at him, annoying his wife, and scaring the wits out his disabled daughter. Sweeney, after holding his crying daughter in his arms for two hours, turned on his sprinklers to soak the motley crew of malcontents. To which we say: Right on.' The Red Star Ledger teeters on the precipice of bankruptcy and gives away free copies in the hope of increasing its circulation, then publicly insults a significant portion of potential subscribers by calling them "fanatics." I predict that in 10 years this rag will be but a distant memory. And I, among many others in the Democratic People's Republic of New Jersey will breathe a sigh of relief and say "good riddance." |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. ~ Marcus Tullius Cicero (42B.C) |
