“Chasing the Adventure” means many things in Las Vegas, but if you’re here for the 46th annual SCI Hunters’ Convention, Jan. 31-Feb. 3, then it means thousands of all-American hunters all under one roof. Imagine the fun of having the Las Vegas Convention Center all to yourself and thousands of your closest friends to mingle with worldwide guides and outfitters, makers of guns and gear, jewelers, wildlife artists and designers of hunting-themed collectibles. But this year’s show is set to be even better, thanks to a few new-for-2018 surprises.

attempted va tech shooting part 2 https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/virginia-tech-student-arrested-after-trying-5-000-rounds-ammo-n842951 Court documents say he had an assault rifle and attempted to buy 5,000 round of ammunition. An arrest report also says that Zhao researched a bulletproof vest and "bought a former police vehicle that still bears some police markings and outfitted it with special bumper."
He is being held at the Montgomery County Jail without bail, NBC affiliate WSLS reported.
"During that hearing I anticipate evidence will be presented demonstrating that the fears associated with this case have been significantly over sensationalized and there was never any threat to the community," (defense attorney) Wolfrey said. |

"Some people think that the Second Amendment is an outdated relic of an earlier time. Doubtless some also think that constitutional protections of other rights are outdated relics of earlier times. We The People own those rights regardless, unless and until We The People repeal them. For those who believe it to be outdated, the Second Amendment provides a good test of whether their allegiance is really to the Constitution of the United States, or only to their preferences in public policies and audiences. The Constitution is law, not vague aspirations, and we are obligated to protect, defend, and apply it. If the Second Amendment were truly an outdated relic, the Constitution provides a method for repeal. The Constitution does not furnish the federal courts with an eraser." --9th Circuit Court Judge Andrew Kleinfeld, dissenting opinion in which the court refused to rehear the case while citing deeply flawed anti-Second Amendment nonsense (Nordyke v. King; opinion filed April 5, 2004) |
