Two Democrat senators from Connecticut have introduced a federal gun storage bill that would require gun owners to secure their firearms in a way that would allegedly prevent unauthorized users from accessing the guns. The legislation, by Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, comes in the wake of the death of Ethan Song, 15, of Guilford, Conn. |

Ok then...You seem to be pretty tough at bullying law abiding citizens around, so please, show us how tough you are in the ring with criminals. Your ineptitude is showing again. |

“Held:
“3) …the requirement that any lawful firearm in the home be disassembled or bound by a trigger lock makes it impossible for citizens to use arms for the core lawful purpose of self-defense and is hence unconstitutional.” - D.C. v. Heller (2008)
Dicta:
“[A] statute which, under the pretense of regulating, amounts to a destruction of the right, or which requires arms to be so borne as to render them wholly useless for the purpose of defense [is] clearly unconstitutional.” |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
"Secrecy is the keystone of all tyranny. Not force, but secrecy ... censorship. When any government, or any church, for that matter, undertakes to say to it's subjects, 'This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know,' the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not fission bombs, not anything. You cannot conquer a free man; the most you can do is kill him." --Robert A. Heinlein, "Revolt in 2100" (Pg. 68-69, Baen Books paperback edition, 1999 printing) |
