If enough people change their minds, the will of the people can change the Constitution. The will of the people has changed it many times already.
The people can amend the Constitution and eliminate or sharply curtail the right to keep and bear arms, which is an expression of their will.
As a responsible, pragmatic gun owner, this is not what I want and it is the reason I refuse to join and support the NRA as long as it continues with its present course of action. |

No one seems to remember what an "inalienable right" is these days .... |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise, and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks. — Thomas Jefferson, Encyclopedia of T. Jefferson, 318, Foley, Ed., reissued 1967. |
