Initiative 1639 promises to make Washington safer by limiting access to what they are calling “semiautomatic assault rifle.” It will not. It will do three things; punish responsible, law-abiding, tax-paying citizen, fail to change the behavior of thugs, thieves, rapists, murders, crazies, and terrorists, and impose a significant cost upon Washington tax-payers. |

TITLE 18, U.S.C., SECTION 242
Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.The Constitution requires that all members of Congress must take an oath of office to support the Constitution before assuming office. In order to comply with the Constitution, Congress has enacted federal laws to execute and enforce this constitutional requirement. |
